Christmas Day at Notre Dame
I started this one on Wednesday and finished it yesterday, it's another one on Notre Dame in Paris. I really like this photo of us standing outside the front of the cathedral on Christmas Day. I chose music paper as the background as it reminds me of an organ in the church. Then I layered on some paper I bought in a stack last year (can't remember the name) but I liked all the words on it especially the believe words which I think are perfect for this page. I cut a scallop circle from Winter Woodland and did my journalling on MS Publisher. I cut my Christmas Tree from Winter Frolic and my border is cut from a page of borders I also got last year. The little sentiment I got is from a sheet I got also last year from Authentique, I really like the saying, I feel it goes perfect with the picture : )

Felt flowers
This is a card I made yesterday, I've got 2 people I could send it to but for now I'll put it aside in my cards box. I saw a great video on how to make felt flowers so I thought I would give it a try. I've made paper roses before on my Cricut but since it won't cut felt I've been wondering how you do it by hand so these are cut with pinking shears and going around and around in a circle, like with a minties wrapper. Then it's just rolled up and some hot glue on the end tucked underneath. I used some beads from my jewellery making for the centres. I am pretty happy with how they turned out : ). So I used a black card and then some vintage looking paper on top and I stamped the bird and the sentiment. I used my Walk in my Garden cartridge to cut out the leaves. Then I pleated my own ribbon using hot glue in between each fold and finished with a brown cord bow. I do like this card, I will have to figure out a way to package it as it won't go in an envelope with the roses but they turned out nice : )

Arc De Triomphe
This was a quick page I put together today of our visit to Paris in December. This one is the Arc De Triomphe. I used some paper from the European pad I bought last week but there was no paper on just the Arc De Triomphe so I used this general Europe paper and then we bought some big postcards whilst were there so I used this Arc De Triomphe postcard to be the background. I chose two photos of us near there that I love and just used the Paris stickers mum sent me as decoration and some journalling as it doesnt' need more than that due to the background. Another Paris page ticked off the list!

Notre Dame
Today I decided to do a page on when we visited Notre Dame Cathedral at Christmas. I used my pack of lovely European papers, this paper had the design of the round stained glass window so I matted that onto some black. I also cut up a sheet that had borders, the border along the bottom is of the statues around the front of the cathedral. I cut out the title on my Jasmine cartridge. I cut out the green flower from my Storybook cartridge and this also reminded me of the stained glass window. I added a bell charm to this. I also cut out some flowers of different sizes from my Flower Shoppe cartridge out of music paper. For some reason I think of the cathedral and the big organ and all the music in the cathedral so after cutting them out I inked around the edges in brown ink to give it an aged look and curled them up slightly and put 3D squares in between each layer. I added a copper brad to that. To finish a believe metal washer.

Easter Chicky
I realised I had one more Easter Card to make but today I was struggling with inspiration but I think this card turned out nice. I went to pinterest and found some inspiration on there. I made a yellow card and matted on a scrap of plaid paper and some turquoise. I cut my little chick and his egg from Simply Charmed and stamped a Peachy Keen Critters face (so cute). I stamped You're Egg-straordinary from a set from My Creative Time for Me down the bottom. I ran the oval through my dot Cuttlebug folder and the turquoise strip through a border Cuttlebug folder. I cut 3 different size flowers from Accent Essentials and went around them with a white gel pen for faux stitching and a white brad to finish.
Le Tour Eiffel
I started this one over the weekend and finished it today of us at the Eiffel Tower last Christmas. Greg and I were in Michaels on the weekend and he found this great paper pad of European papers 50% off so it was perfect for these photos. Greg is always thinking about me and looking for things, he's the best! So I used a piece of the Eiffel Tower paper for the background. There was more than one sheet of this paper in the pack and they are double sided so I cut a border out of it and put that down the left hand side as well as a green border from my stash. I also used a black and white border from my stash at the bottom of the photos. I used my Winter Woodland cartridge to cut the font in shadow as well. My mum send me some Paris stickers which were perfect so I used the Eiffel Tower one and the J'adore one as well as making my own little flag out of a scrap of paper and putting some I love you tape across the bottom and a red heart. I love how this turned out we had such a great time in Paris it was nice to scrap these photos!

Mini dog Album for Greg
I've finally finished the mini 6 x 6 album I've been working on for Greg ♥ of his dog Arrow. I've made this as an Easter gift and I'm really happy with how it turned out. I'll put the photos on in 2-3 posts as they won't all fit on. I used a pad of specialty dog papers as well as some stickers and embellishments I already had in my stash and some I won on Ebay for $1! Also I used my Cricut for a lot of the pages too. I can't wait till Easter to see Greg's reaction.

Wow is this for me
I made this page today throughout the day, I went to the gym on my scooter and at lunchtime Greg and I went for a walk downtown to get a Red Mango frozen yogurt for lunch as it was 28 degrees and sunny today so we thought why not go out and get some sun! My poor foot is giving me grief today so it's good to rest it and do some scrapbooking. I have managed to make the salad for dinner and fold up some washing so I can help my darling hubby Greg. I had a kit I bought ages ago from Big Lots, it was something like $5 for an SEI kit. I thought it was perfect as it went with the colours of both my dress in the photo and the cake for Valentines Day. I started with white cardstock then used some of the red dot paper in the kit and cut it on my Cricut Winter Woodland cartridge to fit to a 12 x 12 page for a scalloped square. I then layered on some floral paper from the same kit. The tag, foldover tab and letters are from the kit but I used the font for WOW from my Pooh and friends Cricut cartridge with a shadow. I cut the flower stems from Walk in my Garden and then made my own layered flowers using circles, scallops and buttons. I put the yellow circle layers through Cuttlebug folders. I cut the sweet square from a sheet I have been using for years to cut out bits, same with the heart. I printed my journalling on some lemon and yellow paper and stuck it onto a journalling block from my kit. I think it turned out pretty well!

Greg's birthday card
I am just so happy with this card I made for Greg's birthday. I made this tonight whilst Greg was working. Greg is such a good hubby, he's helping me so much during the day with everything and the dog walking that he has to make up a little work time at night but that's ok because I can go in my craft room/Greg's office and be there with him. I was asking him not to look though as this will be a surprise for him in May. I cut the card from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2, I like the scalloped edge. I matted on red and ran it through the Cuttlebug dots folder. I cut out mats in navy blue and then some baseball paper as well as more red with the Cuttlebug Happy Birthday folder. I knew I wanted to make Greg a baseball themed card but couldn't find what I wanted, so I went searching and found a great website Sweet n Sassy Stamps which has both clear stamps and digital stamps. I'm new to the world of digital stamps but I found this very cute Cocoa mouse digital stamp for $3 so I got that, downloaded it and printed it out and coloured him in.I used my markers, some grey chalk for his face and some glitter pen along the baseball stitching. I also was looking for the perfect sentiment, I didn't have one in either my rubber stamps or Cricut so I found this husband set which had about 6 digital stamps in it for $1.99 from My Cutting Cafe. So I printed that out, cut it out and then added a scalloped navy blue circle underneath, a red star cut from George and Basic Shapes and the tiniest white heart button I've ever seen lol. I wound around some red and white twine and used 3D squares for both Cocoa mouse and the sentiment. I really wish it was Greg's b'day now so I could give it to him but for now : ). I've also decided to enter this card in a challenge over at Paper Playtime for challenge #70 - For the Guys include a sentiment, have a look here:

Birthday Challenge card - Birthday Sundaes #48
I came across a challenge website today and decided to make this card for it, I'm also going to send it to my mum when it's her birthday. The challenge is at Birthday Sundae's (Challenge #48) and asked you to make a birthday card using an animal, you can check it out here:
I started with a red card that I made on my Cricut which rounded 2 corners. I cut a mat out of black card and put it through my Cuttlebug using my Herringbone folder. I used a scrap of patterned paper done the left hand side and cut 2 flowers using Cricut Sweet Treats. I stamped the cute kitty cat on the white one and colored him in with my markers. I cut out a call out on my Cricut Cuttin Up and stamped Happy Birthday on that and added a stamped sentiment. I added a cute little party hat and green chiffon ribbon to finish.

That takes the cake
I started this on Friday and finished it Saturday, it's another page for Valentines Day this year. This one is of the fabulous cake Greg ♥ made me. I started with red card and then some heart paper. Then some sticker borders and I found this great sheet of paper from Doodlebug Sweet Cakes which was perfect for this page. I made my own little flag with a tile on top and I used the hearts that I originally had on my love tree table decoration on the right hand side. I had a sheet of stickers from Echo Park and I love this one (How Wonderful Life is with you in the world) which is so true of what I think of Greg. I used my Cricut Sweet Treats cartridge to cut out the title in red. I cut a shadow in white and then ran it through my polka dog Cuttlebug embossing folder. I did my journalling on the computer and added a red fabric flower. The last finishing touch was a metal flower clip on the top left hand side. Well that's it for today, I'm going out on my scooter with Greg down the Magnificent Mile for a frozen yogurt and a scoot on my scooter. Its going to be 27 degrees today, how lucky are we in March!! Time to get out and enjoy the sun!

Bunny Love ♥
I finished this one today too, I'd already cut the card out yesterday but finished it today. This is for Greg to go with his little gift for Easter. The card is cut from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2. The oval in yellow from George and Basic Shapes. I stamped the Bunny love on the bottom right corner. For the cute bunny he is cut using punched circles and ovals and stamped with a Peachy Keen Critter faces stamp. I had a yellow heart sticker for his tummy and finished with a white box.
Birthday cupcake
This one I made this afternoon, a birthday card for March. Its a light blue card, chocolate brown mat and then an orange scalloped circle embossed with the Happy Birthday Cuttlebug embossing folder. The Brown is also embossed with a border folder from Cuttlebug and inside the oval on it I stamped a sentiment. I added some brown and white sticky ribbon and a white bow. I cut the cupcake out from Sweet Treats and used Glitter Glue for the sprinkles on the cupcake.
Easter card and sweets box
I've got a few projects coming up that I've been working on. This one was a challenge card I set which I used a pastel yellow card egg shaped with a blue card mat which I embossed with my Cuttlebug Candy Cane folder. I added some spotted paper along the bottom and stamped Hippity Hoppity. I cut the cute bunny from my Cricut Lite Cartridge "Live Simply" and I stamped with the Peachy Keen Critter faces, I like these stamps because they also have the stamp to make a side view of the face. I used a bit of cotton wool for his cottontail and tied on some gingham ribbon. Whilst going through my things yesterday I noticed I had these cute Easter Egg buttons so I took the shank off the back and hot glued that to the ribbon. The other project here is a cute little sweets box from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2. I had some nice dotted card so I used that and then used some leftover stickers to decorate as well as stamping "friend". I filled this with Spring mix Jelly Belly Beans. This is for my friend Christina in Germany who I met at Christmas, I'm sure she will like!

Cute Chickie!!
I made this cutie card on the weekend. I got some new Cuttlebug folders and my Peachy Keen face stamps and wanted to try them out. I made small square shimmery yellow card and then put some shimmery purple through my floral embossing folder. I cut a circle from my Cricut and embossed it with my dot folder. For the cute chick, it's made using shapes. I saw a similar idea on a blog and thought it was so cute so I thought I would try it. The chick is made using circles for the head and body, an oval for the egg which I just cut with scissors to make it look like a cracked egg. The chicks wings are hearts. I used the Peachy Keen Critter faces set for the cute little face. I colored in the beak with an orange marker. I stamped a greeting inside this time. I'm going to send this to my friend Melanie for Easter : )

Bunny Basket
I made this today for my sweet husband Greg, isn't it cute? I used the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 Cartridge to cut out the little Easter Basket and the tag is from the same cartridge. I used my Peachy Keen Critters face stamps to stamp the cute little bunny face and I used white gel pen for stitching and pink chalk on his cheeks. I filled it with little eggs and Lindt mini bunnies. I think Greg will love this ♥

Friend
I finally got this one finished today it was a challenge. Mum set this one which was fun, it was to use a black square card with flowers and a butterfly somewhere on the card, some glitter and the colours black, red and white. I used a black square card and added some black and white floral paper. I used my Cuttlebug border embossing swiss dots folder to do the red border. I used my Live Simply Cricut Cartridge to cut out the flowers and Stamping to cut out the butterfly. I added glue to this and red glittered it. I stamped Friend down the bottom. I'm going to send this card to my friend Conny who cheered me up this week with a lovely balloon and Get Well Quotes book.

My friend Sam
This is a page on the horse I had when I was a teenager called Sam. I used cream card and then added some horse paper as well as 3 banner strips of patterned paper. I used some Wood look stickers for the title and made my own rosette from cardstock to which I had some round stickers so I chose adore. I put on some various flower stickers, hearts and buttons and journalling to finish.

Easter treat bag
This one has taken me a little while to do, mainly because I haven't felt up to doing much craft or my enthusiasm goes up and down at the moment due to my foot but I did get this lovely bag finished for my good friend Conny who I know will love this. I made the bag on my Cricut Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 Cartridge. I used the tag off the same cartridge and stamped the lovely little sentiment on it. I stamped the bunny too and coloured him in as well as the Easter egg and carrot. I put the bunny on 3D squares for some dimension. I filled the bag with a mini packet of Spring mix Jelly Belly jelly beans and some mini chocolate eggs. I tied everything up with a blue cord bow. I'm sure she will enjoy this.
80th birthday
I made this card for Greg's Aunty Margo for her birthday. My mum came up with a good idea to do a challenge for a card since I am off my foot with my injury at the moment and trying to stay busy so my challenge was to do a card using pink, a cupcake anywhere on the card, birthday theme and ribbon or trim. I used a shimmery pink card and I used a Cuttlebug embossing border folder, Greg surprised me with this and he is so sweet. I really like the nice border it does. I put on some birthday cake paper and used my Nestabilities (another surprise gift from Greg, gee I'm lucky!) to cut out the nice ornate circle. I used my Cricut Sweet Treats to cut out the 80 and stamped Happy Birthday on the bottom. I finished with some pleated pink ribbon.

Easter basket cards
I've been working on these for a few days but got them finished last night, I am so pleased with how they turned out, so cute! These are for our mum's and dad's for Easter. I used the basket off my Doodlecharms cartridge and put it into the Cricut Craft Room to weld them together to make the card base. I cut 2 inserts for the front also in a different shade of brown. The fun part was decorating them. I wound some ribbon around the insert part of the basket handle and added daisy trim to one of the baskets at the front. I used the Doodlecharms cartridge to cut out eggs in 2 sizes and different colours. I decorated them with trims or punches. I cut out 2 scalloped circles from Cricut Accent Essentials and used a round stamp on it to stamp the greeting. I then added a spotted button to one of them with twine and on the other a punched flower, button and twine. Sweet little baskets : )
my poor foot but at least I can make some cute things..
Hello everyone I've been working on some Easter things this week, I will put photos on soon but have to exclude certain people as it won't be a surprise. Unfortunately my poor foot is fractured so I'm trying to stay positive by doing some crafting and I'm looking forward to going to the gym tomorrow as best I can do some arm and upper body exercises. I'm off to see the Ortho Surgeon today so I'm hoping it's a case of I don't need Surgery but either way I'll be in this boot or a cast for a little while so it's a good chance for me to do some crafting and rest my leg. Last night I worked on some projects, there were times when I would get really frustrated and fed up of this boot and feeling like I'm 100 years old hobbling around but then once I got my mind onto happier things like sitting at my desk with Greg there I was a bit brighter. I used my new Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge to make something special for our mum's, it is so cute especially for Mother Day. I'm hoping to do more on the weekend, hey I can't do much else so hopefully I'll have one or two creations for you, have a nice weekend!

Cupcakes.
I made this card this afternoon, I made it for the Cardz TV Cricut Cards Challenge #103 which was to make a card using a cake or cupcake in any color. I have made this card for an upcoming birthday as well. I used Wild Cards to cut out the card with the window in the front. I used the liner function to cut out the liner on the front in green and white dot. I lined the inside with purple. For the cake I used Sweet Treats and decorated the cake with punched flowers and rhinestones. I put a border of stars across the top and stamped the sentiment. I like how it turned out. I'm glad I made it, I'm feeling upset today, my foot is fractured and I'm wearing this huge boot to keep it stable and I'm already tired of it and sick of the pain. I'm trying to keep a smile on my face though and find out the positives and know it will all be ok. I've got a wonderful hubby to look after me and I'll still be able to go to the gym and walk the dogs even just for a short time. Hope you enjoy my card.
