Chalkboard teapots
Hi Everyone, I have a different project for you today, I saw an idea for these on the internet and thought I would like to try my own, I found some MDF teapots on Ebay and wanted to make them chalkboard so they could be used in the kitchen to write lists or messages. I thought I would make them for gifts, I think they turned out so cute. I painted the teapot in Chalkboard paint then used scraps of scrapbook paper and card for the spout, top and handle, I used Mod Podge to stick this on and then glazed over it with Mod Podge. Greg drilled a hole for me in the top and I threaded some ribbon on. A magnet is on the back too in case it goes on the fridge or it could be hung up in the kitchen. Hope you like my little chalkboard teapot message boards.

For Oklahoma
I made this quick card this afternoon as I saw a blog post come through from Bo Bunny (scrapbook company) asking people to send an encouragement card for the people that went through the recent Tornado in Oklahoma so I thought I would make a card. It's a simple card as that is all I had time to do but I think the message on the front is perfect for whoever gets my card and I hope they can keep their chin up and know that things will be better soon. I used my Simple Cards cartridge for this one and some flower stickers from my stash.
Card for Conny
Hi Happy Friday, I love Friday's as that means it's weekend time with Greg! I've got a card to show you today for my friend Conny who will be visiting in August, I'm going to give her, her birthday card and pressies then so I thought I'd make her card today.
I started with some sparkly cream card and made a card base on Art Philosophy, then cut a light green layer. Greg bought me a Fiskars stamp wheel for my birthday and I recently bought this stamp to go on it as I love the flowers. It was stamped on white cardstock and cut out in a scalloped square shape. I stamped Happy Birthday in the top right corner. I then cut out some grass from Artiste and I was unsure how it looked against the light green background so Greg suggested inking it a slightly darker green and it came out really good, I really like the effect. For the flowers I used my paints to colour most of them in and markers for some of the smaller parts and the bees. Have a nice weekend.

Disneyland
Hello I have a page for you today that I was able to finish on our trip to Disneyland last year, I started it yesterday and glad I got to finish it today as we did a big workout at the gym I had the dogs to walk and we're going to the baseball soon so I squeezed it in!
I saw some inspiration on another blog with this layout and I decided to put my own spin on it as I usually like to do lots of photos on my pages but sometimes I'm unsure how to display a lot of photos so this worked well and took some planning with cutting the squares and rectangles on my Cricut and the photos but it turned out really good. I used my Cuttin Up cartridge to cut out the Time 4 Fun and used stickers and I had a sheet of 12x12 Disney scrapbook paper with all the characters on the squares so I cut some of those out and matted them onto coloured squares. Hope you like my page!

True Love
Hello Happy Monday, it's nice and hot here although we are expecting some thunderstorms later but at least it's been hot!
I started this page last week and finished it just today. On the Cricut Craft room they have some free layout templates to use and I really liked this True Love one, so I decided to use it on a photo I already thought I'd scrap booked of Greg and I on the evening of our renewal of vows ceremony in St Lucia at the French Restaurant at the resort so I decided it was perfect for this. It's pretty self explanatory with the cuts and I also used some stickers, I love it and Greg does too, another addition to an album of a lovely trip.

Cologne Cathedral
Hello from nice and hot Chicago! I have a page on Cologne Cathedral that I started yesterday but finished today, I kept it simple again as the paper does the talking! I cut the font from Opposites Attract and then added a premade cut out of the cathedral and a sticker as well as some journaling on Publisher. I did let this speak for itself as you would have to see the cathedral to understand how magnificent and enormous it is so this page did not need a lot of embellishing!

Cologne Christmas market
Hello from warm and sunny Chicago, this is the first chance I've had this week for scrapbooking been busy with the dogs and gym and been out enjoying the weather with Greg!
I realised I hadn't finished our Christmas trip to Europe in 2010 the other day when looking through the album, so I did this one on the Cologne Christmas market, we had a great morning there as the market was in the same place as the magnificent cathedral.
I kept this page simple and used paper with detail already on it with the lights, I added some cute little house stickers and used Don Juan for my font.

Watercolor card
Hi Everyone, I've got a really nice card that I am quite proud of to show you today. I had some time in between seeing my dogs so I thought I'd play with some new toys. I got a great little set of watercolor paints at Marshalls last week from Inkadinkado for only $5 so I was looking forward to trying them out. I was also looking forward to trying out a present that Greg bought me for my birthday it's a Fiskars stamp wheel and it's like a little roller that come with special stamps. So I got some watercolor paper and then rolled the stamp all over a panel. I put this on some hot pink card then onto a blue card. I then got to work with the coloring. I coloured in the small details with my marker pens but for the flowers and the background I used the paints, they are really nice and shimmery, I was thrilled with how it looked and my lovely Greg thought so too. I cut a frame from Art Philosophy and did some faux stitching in white gel pen around it. I stamped a greeting and then cut a butterfly from my Stamping Cartridge. I'll probably give this one to my friend Melanie for her birthday in November as I know she will appreciate the time and effort gone into it and I think it's quite suited to her too. Ther is a bit of a shadow on the bottom right it's not in the card, the weather has turned stormy so my light wasn't great, but I wanted to show this off : )Thanks for looking

We're Engaged
Hello happy hump day and I hope you have nice sunshine where you are. We've had a lovely warm Spring day today, so this afternoon Greg was able to take an hour out (he'll work a bit later tonight instead) to come out for a walk, we went to Red Mango and got a small frozen yogurt each, Banana was the flavour today and it was lovely to get out in the sunshine together.
I've got a page for you today and I have travelled back in time and how nice it was to travel back to our engagement. I've never gotten around to scrapbooking these and I thought I would as I had this nice Engagement paper to use and I want to look back when we get to our 60th wedding anniversary and have a scrapbook page to look at.
I started with red card then the engagement paper, I then layered more red and some love script paper. I really love to use my Cricut so I used Sweethearts to cut out the little couple and the ring. I coloured in the skin using chalks on the couple and used some glitter on the ring. I cut the font from Art Philosophy and the tag from Artiste. I did my journaling on Publisher and tied some ribbon through that. I added a couple of stickers. How nice to go down memory lane : ), hope you enjoy my page!

Happy Birdie Day
Hello It's nice and sunny in Chicago today hope it is where you are. Today I have a page I made on Greg's birthday last week, he so loved his cake and the whole day so it was great to make a page on it as a memento.
I started with some green cardstock and cut an 11" square from Art Philosophy in the green patterned paper. For the title I cut that from Straight from the nest and resized it in the Cricut Craft Room, I thought the title was perfect as Greg's cake was from Angry Birds so it is just right : ). I cut that in a shadow in grey and then red. I added some borders and some stickers as well as some Quilled balloon stickers I've had for ages and I remembered I had those and they were great for this page. I did my journaling in Publisher. Hope you like my page.

My birthday
Hi everyone, Happy Saturday, I hope you are having a nice weekend. We had a wonderful day yesterday for Greg's birthday a lovely brunch out and presents and a cake made by me and I was very happy with my first try at it! It turned out great and I loved seeing the look on Greg's face.
Anyway I have a page that I finished last night on my birthday. Greg made me such a fabulous cake I had to scrapbook it. I used a pink card base and then various spotty papers and a Happy Birthday paper. I cut the 36 out of Green dotty paper on my Cricut using Art Philosophy and also the green scalloped circle for the journaling. For the flower pot which is meant to resemble the cake Greg made me I cut the pot from Walk in my Garden and the flowers from Art Philosophy. I used yellow buttons for the flower centres. I embossed the pot using my Happy Birthday Cuttlebug folder as Greg embossed the "flower pot" on my cake. I added a pink bow to finish, it turned out so cute. I also added a tag that mum made me up the top. I added a "love the little things in life" sticker as this was not little by any means but I think the simple things in life are best and these are good memories.

Card for Dad from Chockie bear
Hello from a hot Chicago we were lucky the past few days we've had some hot weather, we'll enjoy it whilst it lasts! This is a card from Chockie bear who is a bear that Greg gave me on our first Valentines Day, he's so special to us and a part of our family so on my birthday this year Chockie gave me a very cute card and presents so under Chockie's instructions I made this card for Greg for his birthday isn't it cute? I used my Teddy Bear Parade cartridge to cut out the bear and then the birthday accessories. I used a cupcake sticker instead of the cupcake that came with the accessories as I preferred this one. I cut a label from Art Philosophy and stamped Dad on it in alphabet letters. I added a red star brad for the hat and a green bow. I used my Cuttlebug birthday folder to make a background. I'm sure Greg will love this card from Chockie.
