One more notepad holder an extra special one
Hello one more notepad holder today, I decided to make this one for Tanya (Ivy's owner) for Christmas. Ivy is our BFF canine friend and I wanted to do a cute holder starring Ivy. This one has the large notepad in again and I thought "Things to Fetch" was cute as she could use it for shopping lists maybe to remind her to buy Ivy treats : ) and I covered the green folder in floral paper, then a strip of brown and some blue and white striped washi tape. I cut the font out on Cricut Craft Room Basics and the blue scalloped circle from Art Philosophy. I embossed that with my dots folder through my Cuttlebug. I added a little pawprint too. For the puppy I used Create a Critter and made it look like our beautiful little friend Ivy who is a Great Dane puppy. I left the face bare so I could use my Peachy Keen critter face stamps for the face. I added some white gel pen around the eyes and some pink marker for the tongue. I added a little bow. This is my favourite one yet, must have something to do with a certain cute puppy : )
Some gift ideas
Hello again I have some little gifts I've been making probably for Christmas this year or birthdays. The first one is very simple just a chocolate bar and wrapped nicely in some scraps of paper and a tag made on my Cricut and stamped with some ribbon.
The next two are post it note holders, I've seen some smaller ones around and I will make some of these as well but I made these slightly bigger ones. It's quite simple to make with some cutting and scoring. Greg and I went for a walk to Target yesterday and found the pens and post it notes. I decorated the front just using scraps of paper and the notes title from my Artbooking cartridge. Thanks for looking.
Candy bag
Hi everyone Happy Monday, I had some time this afternoon to finish off some things I have been working on. I made this for my friend Conny who is visiting us this weekend. She loves peanut butter chocolates as these are not as easy to get in Germany and in America they are popular so I got her some peanut butter cups, I haven't tried these but they look delicious. It's not easy to be around these when you are dieting but I don't touch them! I got a brown paper bag and put it through my Cuttlebug with my flower folder, it turned out really well. I used Art Philosophy to make the little banner shape out of striped paper and then I used Sweet Shoppe to cut out the "I want Candy" sign (very cute). I added a felt flower and brad, some twine and a mini clothes peg. I think Conny will love this!

Teapot coasters
Hi everyone Happy Friday, I have something different than papercrafts today, I made some little teapot coasters for my friend Claudy for her birthday coming up in September. I made some chalkboard teapots a while back and they were bigger. These ones I ordered were smaller so I asked Greg for some ideas and he suggested coasters, great idea! I used Mod Podge to stick some scrapbook paper to the teapots as they were raw chipboard. I went over them with Mod Podge a few times again to give them a good hard glaze. I went around the outside with a brown ink pad to make them look a bit distressed. I then used my Love you a Latte cartridge to cut out the teatime scallop at 2". I placed some white paper behind to make the tea time stand out, I then Mod Podge those on and over the top. I'm going to leave them to dry overnight and do some more glazing over the weekend. They turned out quite cute, I'm sure Claudy will enjoy them. Have a nice weekend.

Buckingham Palace
Hello I have a layout today to show you of Buckingham Palace, I'm still working on our London photos bit by bit. I started with a white 12 x 12 cardstock then layered some red, white and blue spot paper and some union jack paper. I matted my photos onto some black cardstock and cut a title out of a London page I had. I cut a frame from Elegant Edges to go around my journalling and a burlap sticker and 2 Jolee's stickers (beefeater soldier and crown). I added what was left of my union jack paper as a strip down the side. Have a nice day : )

Neuschwanstein Castle
Hello everyone from a scorching hot Chicago, we're sweltering here but I'm not complaining because I would still rather extreme heat than winter! We're meant to get some strong storms come through tomorrow night to cool it down a little then it will be back to mid to high 20s (celcius).
I finished a page this afternoon on when we visited Germany in December 2011. I'm slowly finishing it but do other things in between. This one is of Neuschwanstein Castle which is the "fairytale castle" that I have wanted to see for a while, it was lovely seeing it in a winter wonderland setting too, Greg and I had a great day there even if it was freezing.
I kept it quite simple with just a font from my Don Juan cartridge and some stickers and borders. I used the "bundled up" title from Artbooking and a castle sticker I bought a while back. Hope you enjoy my page.

My Craft Spot
Exploring Cricut
I used a green card and then some red patterned background paper. I used my new Artbooking cartridge to create the brick background at 5", it reminds me of Santa's chimney! I used a scrap of red dotty paper and then used Artbooking again to cut out "Believe" It was cut at 1.5". I cut a scalloped circle at 3" from my Art Philosophy cartridge and then used my Scandinavian Christmas cartridge to cut out Santa, he was cut out at 2.5" in the Cricut Craft room. I used some Perfect Pearls to highlight his beard, coat and the ends of his sleeves and some Ranger glossy accents for this buttons. Hope you enjoy my festive card - Merry Christmas in July!

First Valentines Day
Hello Happy hot Monday. I started this page over the weekend, I got my new Artbooking cartridge and I was looking forward to trying it out, it makes scrapbooking really simple and faster which is good as I am way behind and I can hopefully get more pages done and some mini albums maybe. I used some older photos again that I had in my photo box, this was our first Valentines Day and I'm so glad I could scrap these. I started with red cardstock and then a layer of heart patterned paper. I cut the black heart background from the cartridge (I love that) and also the photo mats and frames. The title is cut from the cartridge and the "Remember" sentiment. There are a couple of Echo Park stickers on there as well. It turned out really nice and I look forward to using this cartridge some more.

At the park
Hello Happy Friday, I have a nice page to share with you today. These photos are of not long after Greg and I met, so they are oldies but goodies. I've had them sitting in my photo box for a while and the other day I was looking through some of my stash and I found the chipboard title (At the Park) sitting there and I knew It would be ideal for these photos. I also knew I had this paper, I bought it a few Christmas's ago in Australia from Riot in Highpoint and again I knew it would be great for this. So I mounted 2 of the photos on brown paper and then cut a frame from my Elegant Edges cartridge for the middle photo. I added various chipboard embellishments and some flowers and a chipboard tag to which I journalled on Publisher and added some ribbon. For the title it was a raw chipboard piece so I coloured it with my markers. Greg said he loved this page and one of the best yet so I was really pleased! Have a nice weekend.

Big Ben
Hello I have another page I've managed to get done today, I'm really pleased as these photos are older ones now and before I know it I will have our California pics from this year to do! This one is of Greg and I when we first went to London in 2007 and we saw Big Ben for the first time and heard him chime, I've always wanted to see Big Ben so it was lovely to see this with Greg and again in 2009 when we met up with mum and dad. Besides the photo the paper is the star in this layout, I just had to use this paper as it's perfect so I kept everything simple with some borders, stickers and a button. I made my own little flag from a sticker too. Hope you enjoy my page. Have a nice evening.
London Calling
Hello hope you are having a nice Thursday. I started this scrapbook page yesterday and finished it this afternoon. I decided to do a London page as I haven't done any of our trips there. This one was from 2009 when we met up with mum and dad there and we had a great time. I started with some Union Jack paper and some blue on top of that. I cut the font from my Don Juan cartridge and did faux stitching around it to give it some definition. Yesterday evening I had a great time going through a lot of my stash and it's fun because I forgot I had something, it just shows you should "shop in your stash" before buying at the shops sometimes. From my stash I used s chipboard frame, a heart, the star and a scalloped circle. I put some journaling behind the circle. I used some Jolee's London stickers and a button to finish. Hope you enjoy my page.

Watering can birthday card
Hello everyone hope you are having a nice Wednesday. I made this card today for Greg's mum for her birthday. It's not till January but I thought I'd get most of my cards made until it's time to make Christmas cards and I want to do my scrapbooking soon too. I love how this card turned out. I started with a square 4.5" x 4.5" card then put some dotty and garden papers layered on. I cut the watering can from Kate's ABC cartridge and the leaves from Art Philosophy. I added some borders from my stash and some Prima flowers also from my stash. I added gemstones to the centres and some cute little bee's stickers I had. I added a Happy Birthday sentiment and a wooden butterfly on the watering can. Hope you like my card.

Flower pot thank you card
Hello hope you're having a nice day, I am not feeling too well with this cold but I'm looking forward to the holiday here tomorrow and Greg is off work and no dog walking for me so a nice day for us. I made this card this morning for Tanya who owns Ivy the beautiful Great Dane pup whom Greg and I adore. It's a thank you card to say thank you to Tanya for being so kind and making me a pot of chicken soup yesterday when I told her I was sick and unable to walk Ivy at 3pm. Greg went and picked it up for me and she had made the soup along with some pasta to put in and some crackers as well as a lovely card from her and Ivy, so sweet and very thoughtful so I thought a card was in order.
I'd seen these flower pot cards for a while on Pinterest and decided to try one. The flower pot is just cut by hand and pretty simple then edged with scallop scissors. The insert is just the same cut into a rectangle, I stamped that and then added a glittery spot layer to the pot. The flowers were cut on my Cricut using Flower Shoppe at 2 inches in layers and the leaves at 1.25 inches, I drew some veins on the leaves. I added some buttons for the flower centres and a ribbon around the whole card to tie it all together. I'll go for a walk later with Greg and we'll go to the Godiva chocolate shop and I'll put a small box of chocolates with this. Have a nice day.
