Thank you card

Hello Happy Monday, only one more day to go till we go on our holiday, we are very excited to be going to the Dominican Republic and getting some sun and fun together.

I made this Thank you card for our friend Tanya and her lovely dog Ivy, she gave us a lovely gift the other day. We are going Italy in October and she wanted to give us a gift for our anniversary when we are on the Amalfi Coast, we could choose from a list of activities and she would organize it, so we chose a wonderful cooking class in Sorrento where we get to enjoy cooking in a private villa and wine and the lunch we cook either by the pool or by the fire (weather dependent) so we are so excited and grateful for such a lovely gift. So I made them this card with my Cricut Explore. I started with a plain black pre-made card and then some cute bones paper from a mini Pets stack from DCWV. I cut the scalloped square in a shiny red foil scrap of card and then a plain grey square. I cut the cute pup from Paper Pups and I used my Cricut to write the sentiment. I added some red ribbon and a bow to finish. Thanks for looking have a nice day.

All Dressed Up

Hello Happy Friday, it's a lovely day here sun is shining and later we'll take Miss Ivy to the lake for some playtime. Not long till holiday now, it's coming fast yay!

I started this page yesterday and finished it today, I absolutely love this photo of Ivy, she looks like such a little princess in her winter outfit, it's one of our favourite photos of her. I started with a sheet of lovely Recollections red snowflake paper which i cut down to 8x8. The cuts on the page are a mix from different cartridges, again I don't remember them all but just ask if you want to know. I do know that the cute snowman is from Snow Friends, I added a white pom pom to his hat and some google eyes. I kept this one simple as there is a lot going on with the sparkle snowflake paper and the cuts. I'm enjoying doing Ivy's album we have so many great photos of her so it will end up being a large album I'm sure, Have a nice weekend.

A card I made...

Hello another post today but this time not a card from me, just wanted to share a video of a lovely lady I follow on YouTube with her card video's. I sent her a 40th birthday card recently and she actually gave me a big mention on her video and was so happy with her card, it was so lovely and lately has resorted my faith in humankind. It's so nice when people can actually say thank you and appreciate the effort that has gone into something : ). I recommend Gloria's video's she makes some beautiful cards. Here is the link:

Lovin Life Layout

Hello Happy Wednesday only one more week till we go to the Dominican Republic so excited about that : ). How nice it will be to go to a couples only resort and spend a week in the sun with my hubby. We both need a break right now so it's going to be great.

I've been doing this layout over a few days and just finished it today (sorry about the shadow in the photo). Greg took some nice photos of us on Friday near the lake with our new camera so I really loved this one so thought I would scrapbook it. I started with a piece of red cardstock for my base then a sheet of DCWV wavy paper and another piece of LOVE patterned paper from a Recollections stack I got around Valentines Day. The cuts are all from various cartridges I didn't make a list as I just did a search on the Design Space for what I wanted but if you want to know anything just leave me a comment and I'll find out where it was from. I added some little enamel dots to my Sailboat and some journalling on my computer along the bottom. Thanks for looking, have a nice day.

Snow Much Fun

Hello I have another page in my continuing Ivy album, this is an 8 x 8 album and I'm slowly making it about Ivy, the most gorgeous dog ever (well she shares that title with Ruby really!). Ivy loves to play with her rope even in lots of snow and freezing weather, I love these photos of Greg and I playing with her, it brightened up a really cold snowy day. I started with a piece of patterned snowflake paper from an old DCWV Christmas stack and then I cut out my background I can't remember the cartridge it might have been Edge to Edge in glittery blue cardstock. The Cricut Explore cut it pretty well, it was quite detailed and did tear slightly in a couple of places but easily fixed with a bit of glue. The title was cut from Artiste and the mittens were from the Holiday Cakes cartridge.. I did some faux stitching with a white gel pen around some of the title and the mittens.I added some stickers, brads and a bulldog clip from my stash. Thanks for looking, have a nice day.

Sprouting

Hello Happy Thursday, it's almost the long weekend here and that is nice to think about. This isn't papercrafty related but it is sort of a craft. I have added another hobby to my list of things and it's also good for you, I like tor read a lot and I get some good articles from Dr Mercola who is a Naturopath, one of his articles was about growing your own Broccoli Sprouts and how good they are for you so I thought I would give it a try as I love to make my own cleaning and beauty products which are all natural and no chemicals and we also eat very well with lots of good clean food. I can't do any gardening as we're in an apartment but I'm getting in some practice before we have our house in the future so I can do this in an apartment. I bought a kit and today I started to soak my seeds, it seems pretty easy hopefully it will work out and we can enjoy some nice sprouts with our salad. I know Greg will eat them mixed in after all I want him to live a long time so he's going to eat it lol. I'm not just any housewife now I'm a natural loving hippie housewife but I think that's better than being a "Real Housewife of Chicago" lol. Have a nice weekend.

Happy Birthday layout

Hi everyone Happy 1st day of July, can't believe it's July already time flies when everything is going along nicely, I just would love to slow down the days a bit so I get as much time with my hubby as I can, but as long as the days are happy that's a good thing.

I have worked on this double page layout over a couple of days of my birthday this year, Greg made me a fabulous spinning carousel cake but it also played Happy Birthday and lit up it was really magnificent and how lucky am I to have such a thoughtful and talented hubby! I used my Cricut Explore for this layout so my cuts are from various cartridges. The Happy Birthday was from Celebrate with Flourish, the journalling tag was from Artiste and so was the cute carousel. The honey frame was from Small Talk and Frames and so was the smile photo tab. I used other various stickers and embellishments as well. The patterned paper is from Pebbles Front Porch collection that I've had for a while now. Everything is else just from my scrap box. I'm going to enter this at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge this week here thanks for looking.
