I made an envelope today on my Cricut, it was originally to fit the card I made for Greg but It turned out too small so rather than waste the envelope I made a cute little card to fit it. It's so cute I love the way it came out. I used a plain white card cut out on the Cricut. I then matted with the lime green paper and cut out some scalloped squares from my "Cricut Accent Essentials" cartridge in both white and a lovely blue floral print. I then cut out a circle in orange. I used my "Songbird" cartridge to cut out the sweet little fence and bird and layered a bluebird on top of that. I tied around some ribbon and put in a pin I made with some beads and finished with a little epoxy sentiment I had in my stash. I'm glad I decided to make this one and re-use the envelope!

Life is sweeter with you
I made this card this morning after seeing a nice sentiment on a card on a blog I follow so I decided to make a card for Greg as a surprise and change the design to make my own design. I used my Cricut "Just because cards" to cut out the card and then used a scrap of nice lime green pattered paper for the background which was a scrap and also a scrap of dotty paper cut into a circle. I used the same cartridge to cut out the cute little ice cream sundae and I decorated it with some gemstones for sprinkles and a button threaded with some cotton for the cherry on top. I then used my "fabulous finds" cartridge to cut out the little round tag and I printed the sentiment on the computer and cut it into a circle to fit the tag. I finished with some brown and white twine to tie the tag onto the card. I then added a little heart to finish.

Little birdy
This is my last one for this week, another general card, I left the greeting off so I can put the right greeting on for the occasion when I need it. I used a light blue card and then added a hot pink layer and green patterned paper. I then used my Sew Easy tool which makes holes and then I hand stitched (very relaxing) around it with white thread. I then used my Cricut "Straight from the nest" cartridge to cut out the sweet little bird and tree (which I love to do at the moment they are so cute) and added some brown twine in a bow. Not sure what occasion I will end up using this card for but either way I'm sure the recipient will love it like I do!
Pink for you card
Now that I've finished scrapbooking St Lucia and our ceremony I decided to restock my supply of cards. I like to have a few on hand so I have one if the need comes up to send one and it's nice to change to cards after scrapping for a while. I cut out a hot pink card using my "Just because cards" Cricut cartridge and then matted some white onto that and some nice pink plaid patterned paper. I really like the look of the doiley cards that are trendy now so I used a paper doiley and then used my "Straight from the nest" Cricut cartridge to cut out the pink scalloped circle and the flower which was in layers. I then used my "Wild Card" cartridge to cut out the "For you" sentiment and finished with some pink and white bakers twine (which I just love, I got a bag full of skeins of this in all colours off Ebay) around the bottom.

I made this card over the weekend for a blog competition. Yesterday at Joann's I found a lovely 6 x 6 pack of papers on clearance so I used one of the green sheets from that. I used my "Straight from the nest" cartridge to cut out the branch, the sweet little bird and the flowers. I used my "Cricut essentials" to cut out the label and I stamped the greeting. I added some twine and some brads & gemstones to finish. I'm loving this card, almost too much to give away!

Todays favourite..bright blooms in a vase
I got so happy cutting the flowers I decided to do a vase. I love flowers in vases, in fact I have a lovely vase of yellow roses sitting near me that my wonderful hubby bought me last week so it gave me inspiration to create a special card, I can't say who it's for as they will no doubt see my blog but I wanted to showcase it as I love the bright colours. Again it was using the "Walk in My Garden" Cricut carrtidge and then I added some buttons for the centres of the flowers and a ribbon bow for the vase. I cut one edge with an edger punch to create the eyelet border. Instant cheery mood! : )
Dotty Daisy
Ok today I realised I have a few birthday cards to make for upcoming birthdays. I decided that bright colours are always cheerful and happy and so are flowers. So I got the Cricut out and used my "Walk in my Garden" cartridge to cut out some blooms. I made this one using the cartridge and found a scrap of dotty paper that made a very cute daisy! I also used my new nestabilities shapes to cut the squares and a scrap of embossed paper that mum sent me ages ago that she embossed with the Cuttlebug, I found this by rummagig around in my scraps box. I used a scrap of lime green ribbon for the leaves.Hope you like it : )
