I made this tonight for my friend Amy whose birthday is coming up, she loves handbags and makes them as well and she has been going through a tough time lately and I know this will cheer her up especially on her birthday. I cut a round card using my Wild Cards cartridge and backed it with some green. I then used my Cricut Essentials cartridge to cut out the flower doily shape. I then used my Paisley cartridge to cut out the cute little handbag, I made it nice and glittery with a flower for the clasp using the button feature on the cartridge and a regular button with some twine. I stamped with my Close to my Heart stamps with Happy Birthday.

Bookmark Birthday Card
My last creation of the week is going to go off with a nice finale with this lovely card. I have to say I'm quite happy with this and proud of it! I made this for my friend Conny who likes to read for her birthday coming up in October, it's like a gift and card in one (even though I will get her a gift as well!). It starts off as a trifold card, one side is scored with the bone folder and the other side is perforated with a little perforator tool that Greg got me recently (what a guy!). I used my Storybook cartridge to cut out the nice little ornate frame in black and then layered on a pretty pink mat on top of that. Then I used my "Cricut Essentials" to cut out the scalloped circles. I stamped happy birthday and added a paper flower and brad and some ribbon. The second picture shows the perforated line. I decorated the first inside layer with the same colours and also the bookmark. The second page I cut the same scalloped circles and rumaged around in my stickers and found the smile round sticker which was perfect and also the gingham ribbon. I had some very pretty chipboard letters so I used the letter "C" for her name. Then is the fun part the book mark which she can tear along the perforation and use in her reading! That is decorated in the same colours, then I stamped the saying (I found that stamp today at Michaels for only $1 what a bargain and a nice inspirational saying). I then added a dotty paper flower and brad and set and punched a half circle in the white and added an eyelet and ribbon.

Cutie Pie
I am so excited about this page. I have been looking forward to scrapping some of Greg's little boy and baby photos. So I thought after I finish St Lucia and Mexico I would start these. These 2 photos are 2 of my absolute favourites of Greg, he is soooooooo cute and I'm so glad now that I have started these that I can look at them often! So because the photos were black and white it was easy to pick the colours to compliment the photos. I found the check paper first so I matched the brown underneath to go with that. I used my Cricut "Storybook" cartridge for the font and I also used a lovely shape off the same cartridge to cut the check paper. I used my "Cricut Essentials" to cut out the scalloped circles and typed the sentiment on my computer. I then used my "3 birds on Parade" cartridge which is the first time I used it to cut out the cute little bird. I had a lovely border in my stash which was very childlike with "giggle, laugh" etc on and as we don't have children this was the perfect opportunity to use this and the 2 little round star stickers. I finished off with a chipboard button tied with some twine. Loving this page, just like I love Greg ♥

Share the moments that bring you joy
I'm almost finished my St Lucia pics now both holiday and the renewal of vows ceremony. I decided to do this page as a one photo page as it was when we had our nice reception lunch after our ceremony at Armando's restaurant at the resort. They did our table up really special and we had a lovely meal. Whilst at Michaels the other night with Greg ♥ I found this lovely stamp "Share the moments that bring you joy" in the $1 bin so I got it as I thought it would be lovely for this page mainly but also for cards. A few weeks ago Greg found the sheet of stitched "love" paper there too so I'm glad I had this perfect opportunity to use it on this page. I cut some pieces of pink and heart paper for the background and stamped the sentiment on the pink. I used my Cricut Essentials to cut out the hearts and the label. I then embossed the hearts on my Cuttlebug. I then cut out a butterfly which I got at Christmas in Australia which I have been looking forward to using, that also went through my Cuttlebug. I finished off with an iron on felt scalloped border. A really nice page with nice memories!

Sunsational!
I started this one on the weekend but finished it today as with no Ruby to walk today I had some time this afternoon. I wanted to do a page on the lovely sunsets we saw in St Lucia. I had some lovely orange and yellow card and papers so they went perfect with this. I cut a big circle using Cricut Essentials and then cut some waves using "Life's a beach". I snipped around them to curve them and stick them to the back of the circle to make a big sun! I then cut out some orange waves to make it "firey". I added some borders from my stash and cut out the font using "Life's a beach". I went through my stash and found a really nice acrylic orange frame to go around the journalling and also a cute little sun. I also found a lovely metal sun clip which I attached to the journalling. To finish I cut some palm trees from "Life's a beach". A lovely reminder of some of the beautiful sunsets we got to see so now we can always look at it and smile!

I made this card over the weekend for a blog competition. Yesterday at Joann's I found a lovely 6 x 6 pack of papers on clearance so I used one of the green sheets from that. I used my "Straight from the nest" cartridge to cut out the branch, the sweet little bird and the flowers. I used my "Cricut essentials" to cut out the label and I stamped the greeting. I added some twine and some brads & gemstones to finish. I'm loving this card, almost too much to give away!
