Chicago layout

Hello everyone I decided to do a layout on our time living in Chicago when we went to the movies in the park in the summer. I realized I haven't done a lot on Chicago and we have lots of great photos from our time there. The movies in the park was such good fun, it's a shame it only went for a couple of years but we would have fun walking to the park and eating our picnic there whilst enjoying old movies under the stars and with the magnificent Chicago skyline in the background. The light is shining on the photos sorry it's because it's night time here but the ones in the film strip are of Greg and I sitting in our deckchairs in the park. Everything is cut on the Cricut and I even used my Cricut pens to write directly on the page. The star paper went perfectly with it, I've had this for ages and I thought the black glitter border and stars I cut out went perfect too. Thanks for looking, have a nice weekend.

Easter bunny Photobomb card for Greg

Hello I made this card for Greg tonight for Easter. I don't really like thinking about Easter yet as it's just gone Christmas but I thought whilst I have time at night (when I'm not too tired) I will get my cards done for the year because soon (hopefully) our house will be starting and so now I will take the chance to get them done. I originally had another idea for Greg's card but when I tried it, I didn't like how it looked. I watch some crafters video's on  YouTube, I haven't for ages but I did have a look tonight and this lovely lady from the U.K called Jan B made a cute card it was called "Photobombing bunny's" . If you haven't heard of photobombing its when someone gets in a photo you are having taken, so the bunny here in the centre is being photobombed by the other two as they trying to get in on the action! I put my own spin on the card. Jan's was an oval cut out in the front and she used stamps for the bunny, but I cut a heart shape instead and used my Cricut for the bunnies. I used a pink colored pencil to do the inside of the ears. I basically used the Cricut for the card and used the slice feature to cut out the heart. I used my Cricut pens to write on my card too and added a brad to the tag as well as a pink bow on the front bunny. I added googley eyes too, to the bunnies. I put the whole panel onto a sheet of blue card then onto a light blue card with 3D dots. I think this turned out so cute, t hanks for looking.

Easter stamped card

Hello everyone, I made another Easter card. I haven't made anything for a few days been too busy with house stuff, studying and daily life so I was happy to come in my shared craft room/office with Greg tonight and make a card. I found this very cute bunny image on the internet for free. So I printed him out on white and colored him in with my pencils. I like to search for images, it saves money on buying stamp sets and storing them too. I used my square dies to cut it out and then a larger pink square and a larger purple square which I embossed using my dots embossing folder. I then made a 5" x 5" square card in blue.

Easter Card 2

Hello here is the second card I made, I made this for my friend Christina in Germany. Greg bought me the cute banner stickers for Christmas so I used one of these in the corner as well as some silver borders I already had. I stamped the top right hand corner and the bunny is from Cricut. I already had the pink oval left over from when I made my tissue box so I used that underneath the bunny. I think this one turned out very cute : ).

Easter Card

Hello I made this Easter card recently, I thought I'd better start as I saw that Easter is at the end of March this year. I used a pink card and then on the blue layer I put this through my Darice Easter Egg embossing folder. I used my Cricut to cut the eggs and the grass. The label is cut on the Cricut too and I used my pens to write the greeting. The flowers are from a mini flower punch. Thanks for looking : ).

Tissue Box Cover

Hello everyone I made a little tissue box cover tonight on my Cricut. I saw them a while ago on the internet and I was able to find a free cut file for my Cricut so I made this and I'm so pleased with it. I had the perfect piece of paper to go on it (the dress one) and I was using an old Cricut  mat and it slipped and I nearly ruined it but my superman hubby Greg came to the rescue and helped me by cutting them by hand and placing them so I could get them out of the rest of the paper. I had some wooden shapes that I've had for over 10 years that went perfect on top of my box I chose a handbag and shoes. I also glued a paper butterfly and flower near my label. I cut the label on my Cricut and used my Cricut pens to write my little saying. I liked this saying and it's perfect for a dressingtable and sometimes it's nice to be reminded that you are prettiest being yourself and it's perfectly fine to be yourself and not compare to others. I'm lucky that I have a good husband who things I'm fab just the way I am so I will enjoy my new tissues sitting at my dressingtable it does make it a bit more fun than just a plain box of tissues!

Birthday Layout

Hello I have a layout today that I made last night. I was going through all my scrapbook albums the other day and putting the pages in order and making sure all my albums were for the different holidays, celebrations etc and I realised that I have some missing. I did make one of my birthday celebration last year where we went out to the Peninsula hotel in Chicago but I didn't get around to making one of the cake as I think we had sold our apartment at that stage and I was in the process of packing things up. So I made this one of the cake Greg made me which was wonderful. I used my Cricut for most of it, except for the Enjoy and Smile stamps, the wood veneer word and some other brads and embellishments. I added some ribbon as well. I may not be posting as much soon because we will be getting more involved with our house building project and my studying as well, as well as day to day things that need to be done, I still plan on coming in my craft room though when I can as I still need my hobby. I'm going to divide my time up so I can fit everything in so I will look forward to putting another post on soon.
