Ferrari Drive

Hello I made this page today on when Greg got to drive a Ferrari when we were in Florence, Italy. Poor Greg and I are sick with bad colds at the moment but I did want to do this page in between going out. I started with a red cardstock base and added some Chevron patterned paper. The need for speed title and the other two sayings on the photos are from Beep Beep cartridge. I don't have this cartridge but can use it as I'm a subscriber to the Cricut cartridge. I did some journalling strips on the computer and used 2 stamps. The star is from a Close to my Heart set and the sentiment is from a My Favourite things set. I found a free png file of a Ferrari on the internet so I used my print and cut feature on my Cricut to print and cut this out. Greg loved this page and so did I, thanks for looking.

Valentines Day 2015

Hello I decided to do my Valentines Day layout this afternoon. I felt like brightening my day with some lovely pics of our nice day together and using nice Valentines colors such as reds and pinks. I bought this paper recently as I liked the love sentiment on it and the brushed look, It was an American Crafts Amy Tangerine sheet of paper. I added a piece of love birds paper from a Recollections stack I got last year and then my photos. I did my journaling on the computer and just matted it on some red. Underneath the birds paper I ran my little hearts tape runner along the top and bottom. I then used a stamp set I got at Michaels and stamped the Be mine and spotty banners on pink card in black ink. I went through my stash as I'm trying to use what I have and added the bird stickers the sticker that says "With  you my heart has wings" which I thought was perfect given Greg made a fabulous stenciled lovebird cake.

Whats Cookin

Hello Happy Monday I made a double page layout today of our cooking class that we did in Sorrento Italy on our anniversary last year. We had such a fabulous time, it was really a day to remember and I really enjoyed scrapbooking the photos and remembering such a lovely day. I used green cardstock as my base for both pages then I used my Nana's kitchen stack to cut out borders from various papers. I did my own border on my Cricut Explore and the Cricut pens and wrote "La Cucina" which means kitchen in Italian. I used a wine barrel and grapes sticker that I got at Michaels. The journalling is done on publisher. I think the rectangle was from Artfully Sent. The Oh Happy day is from the Phrases cartridge and the What's cookin is from 3 Birds on Parade. I cut the two sentiments at the top of the first page from the same paper stack. Time to go and walk Ivy now and brave the cold! Bye.

Easter card 4

Hello one more card for today as it's time to go and walk Ivy in a minute. This is probably my favourite one of the day, I made a 4.5 x 4.5 inch square card out of blue cardstock and then cut this pretty layer on my Cricut from the Edge to Edge cartridge. I used the slice feature on the Cricut to cut an Easter Egg shape out of this. I then used a leftover decorative egg frame to go around it, I was in luck that it fit perfectly. I got this gorgeous little bunny as a free clipart file off the internet and used the Print then Cut feature. So cute!

Happy Easter card no 3

Hello one more card today Easter card number 3. This one is for my mom and dad. I used a pre made patterned card and added a yellow layer then a patterned purple. I added an Easter Egg border from the Elegant cakes cartridge and cut a blue scallop circle then a white circle. I stamped a bunny face using a stamp I got ages ago from Michaels in the $1 bin, he's adorable! I colored him in using colored pencils. I also used a Sentiment stamp I got from the $1 bin at Michaels. Thanks for looking.

Happy Easter Card two

Hello again here is another card I made a couple of weeks ago this one is for Greg's mom and Dad. I now can't remember where I got all my cuts from the Cricut library, sorry I should have wrote them down but they are easy enough to find now with the new Design Space. I do remember though that the card is from Artfully Sent. For the rabbit I used a Peachy Keen Critter faces stamp set and used some white gel pen. I added some flower stickers in the top right. I love that bunny's face so cute, thanks for looking today.

Happy Easter card one

Hello Happy Friday, almost the weekend and we are now looking forward to our cooking class tomorrow which will be fun, I look forward to our "Pie and Tart Bootcamp" : ). I've been finishing making my Easter cards, they are fun to make and make me think of warmer weather and new life again and hearing the birds singing, soon it will come!!!

So this one is for my friend Claudy, I just love this chick in his egg, how can he not make you smile! I cut the card in light green from Artfully Sent, it was a nice Easter Egg and grass cutout card. I cut an oval out of pink and embossed it with a Quickutz embossing folder. I stamped on the right hand side using a Close to my Heart stamp and for the chick I am really enjoying using the Print and Cut feature on the Cricut. I found this little chick on a free blog somewhere so I printed him out and cut him out using the Cricut. I love the bright colors so nice!! Thanks for looking, have a nice weekend.

Shaker Easter Card for Greg

Hello from a cold Chicago, so to cheer myself up a bit I decided to make Greg's Easter card. It took me some practice to get the shaker part right, I had trouble with the sequins sticking to the foam and then sticking together but I finally got it to work and now it shakes nicely. I had heard that using baby powder on the sequins just a dusting stops the sticking together but I was not about to go out more than necessary today so I somehow just got it to work on it's own. I started with a blue card base and added layers of lemon yellow and striped paper. I added some light blue and used a Fiskars punch to punch the scalloped border. For the egg I used my Cricut Explore to cut both a frame and an egg shape and also an acetate shape, this was from Elegant Edges. The Easter Egg sequins I got ages ago I think from Michaels. The sentiment and bunny and basket stamps were from a stamp set I treated myself to recently I got them from My Favourite Things. I liked this stamp set as it had lots of sentiments so it can be used for more than just Easter. I colored these in with my colored pencils and put the images on 3D dots. I'm pleased it turned out nicely and I know Greg will love it at Easter.

A page on Fiesole

Hello hope you had a nice Tuesday, I have spent almost a week trying to get this page done but been busy with lots of other things and not really able to concentrate on scrapbooking or had much time but anyway I decided to get it finished this afternoon. I did keep it simple I just am trying to get my pages done and I do like how it turned out. These pictures of when we were in Fiesole just near Florence in Italy and we found a great lookout, it was really wonderful and I just love that photo of Greg and I.

I used a patterned sheet for the background from a stack I got from Michaels a while ago. I also cut the saying in the rectangle from a sheet in that stack. I don't remember where I got the tag from on my Cricut sorry so much stuff to think about at the moment but I do remember the title was from 3 birds on parade. The butterfly is a chipboard butterfly from my stash and I did my journalling on the computer. The little epoxy tag is from my stash (quite an old one) thanks for looking.

Gondola scrapbook layout

Hello I have another page today on our recent trip to Italy I still have a lot to go but I"m getting through them. This one was a nice one as they all are but we really loved our trip on the gondola in Venice and had a lovely time so these photos were especially nice to look at and remember. I used a red cardstock base and then used my Cricut to cut out the scalloped circle and font. I added some stickers I was really glad I could find one of a gondola as there is no Cricut cut of one of those and I did my journalling on the computer. I added a clip that I've had for ages at the top. Thanks for looking.

Hubby's Birthday Card

Hi again I have a card I made over the past few days, I was just waiting on the ribbon to arrive and it arrived today so I could finish it off. I'm making some cards in advance and if we sell our apartment soon we will be so busy so I may as well do this now when I can. So I made Greg's birthday card. He loves the Boston Red Sox baseball team and I recently learned how to use the Print then Cut feature on my Cricut, I really love it. I got the image from www.dollargraphicsdepot.com I thought the Koala baseball player was just perfect for Greg being an Aussie and loving baseball. The card idea was from a UK magazine I subscribe too digitally I think it's called a Z fold card as it opens out like a letter Z. I cut the scallops in red and white from Art Philosophy and I embossed the red one with the swiss dots folder on my Cuttlebug. I added layers of patterned and blue paper and then the ribbon. The inside i wrote my own sentiment with my Cricut and the Cricut black pen. Thanks for looking.

Miss Ivy's Valentine

Hello Happy Tuesday it's almost Valentines Day and today we decided to give Miss Ivy her Valentines treats a bit early because I baked the treats on the weekend when I had time and I didn't want them to go off so I gave them to her today. As you can see she LOVED them, she loves Aunty Lindsey's cookies especially if they have peanut butter in them. How cute is she? I stamped on a plain brown bag and put the cookies in there for her along with her card. Awww we love you Miss Ivy!

Card for Ivy

Hello Happy Tuesday. Last year Ivy and us exchanged Valentine cards so I've made this one for her from us for this year. I made a 4.5 x 4.5 inch card out of red and then I added a layer out of xoxo paper. I cut a heart doily from an SVG I got free from the internet. The paper I used was a white core cardstock and I sanded it a bit to make it look a bit distressed. I used my Cricut pens to write my sentiment instead of love and kisses because she is a dog it's ruff and kisses. The dog is from the Pet Shop cartridge, can't remember where the heart was from but I put some twine on it to make it hang and I hung the heart around Ivy's neck, so cute. Thanks for looking.
