Escape

I started this page the other day and didn't have time to finish it so I did today. Its of when we first arrived at the Sandals resort in St Lucia and shows pictures of us eating our breakfast at the lovely restaurant and the view of this beautiful Caribbean style house on top of the hill. Also the beautiful pool underneath the restaurant and the cheeky birds that came each day trying to scavenge some food! I found some nice papers to compliment, I was quite pleased I found the butterflies paper in the same colours. I used my Cricut to cut out the Escape saying and also the fern leaves and tropical flowers. Greg's mum bought me a scrapbook kit a while back and I found the little saying in the middle of the photos from that kit. I typed a small bit of journalling. I am really happy with this one and all the lovely tropical colours and brings back wonderful memories of one of the best holidays of our lives!

Kiss Me!

Today after going to the gym, walking the dogs in the lovely weather and making the apartment sparkling and clean I had a bit of time to do some scrapbooking. I'm almost finished (I think only one more page to go) on our St Lucia ceremony photos. I chose this black and white one of a favourite shot and because the photo was black and white I could use really any colours. I chose some lovely "I love you" paper in cream and black and then some really nice embossed butterfly and floral paper. I also had a scrap of some heart paper left over so I used that down the right hand side. I used my Cricut to cut the border around my journalling and also the "Kiss me" which was just perfect for this picture. I had some nice love themed stickers to use so I used those for the other wording and also the hearts etc. The arrow was cut out from the cricket as well as the scalloped edges. I blinged up the arrow with some gems. A really nice cute page and nice memories ♥

You Give Me Butterflies

This is the first chance I've had this week for any scrapbooking so I continued on with our St Lucia photos. Today was some lovely ones the Photographer took on the beach. I found the lovely bordered paper in my stash so I mounted that onto some blue card and also the photos. I used my Cricut to cut just about everything else, except for 2 of the smaller white flowers which were Prima paper flowers. I used brads and rhinestones to decorate those and some mini heart stickers. I love the saying "You give me butterflies" as we had butterflies in the theme of our ceremony to remember our nanna and Greg definitely makes my heart flutter ♥

Mr & Mrs Card

Today was a good day to make this card as I'm a bit sad and hoping our little canary is ok as he's sick! So besides my wonderful hubby, making a wedding card for a nice friend who is getting married in June is a good way to cheer me up! I used black, whites and silvers for this as I think this makes a classy and elegant wedding card. I used my Cricut sweethearts cartridge to cut out the "Mr and Mrs" and also the wedding cake, stand and little hearts on top of the cake. I used paper flowers and brads to decorate the cake and some sheer white ribbon.

Loves takes first bite

A nice way to finish the week is another scrapbook page on our ceremony in St Lucia. I really love these pictures of us cutting our cake and drinking our champagne. I had the perfect papers for these and I love the paisley design and also the cute little bird border. I used my Cricut to cut out my font and also the wedding cake. The wedding cake was a 3 tier on the cartridge but I trimmed it down to a 2 tier to match the cake we had. I then decorated it with little flowers. For the title I used a little heart brad on the "i" and finished off with some flower stickers and a "Love birds" sticker.

Together Forever

I realised I still have more photos of our renewal of vows ceremony to do which is good as I love scrapping these, I love anything to do with love, weddings, hearts etc, especially when it involves us! I was so excited because I got to use my new Cricut Expression and it is amazing. My background paper is perfect because I think it resembles the sand. I found some pretty blue floral paper which I used my "Accent Essentials" cartridge to cut out the fancy shape behind the photos. I used my "Jasmine" cartridge to cut out the font and again the "Accent Essentials" to cut out the cute little heart clip on the top left. I love tropical flowers and wanted to pick up the flowers in my beautiful bouquet so I used my "Accent Essentials" and "Life's a beach" cartridge to cut out these, I really enjoyed cutting out all my pieces and making this page. Such wonderful memories of one of the best days of my life! Making this page definitely took me back to St Lucia ♥
