It was raining this afternoon and after my huge workout at the gym and then all the dog walking, dinner made and laundry done, I was glad to be able to do a bit of scrapbooking and continue to do my St Lucia pages. This one is one of my favourite photos. There was some little stray kittens at our resort, they were so cute. One came up to Greg for a pat and he let Greg pick him up, it was so cute, this big strong guy and a tiny kitten : ). I found some nice papers and used my Cricut to cut out the lettering and the cat face. I used a journalling block and some stickers to finish.

Our Private Paradise
Today continuing on with my St Lucia pages. Now that I have finished our ceremony pictures it was time to start on the actual holiday pictures. I have so many great photos as it was such a beautiful location and a 5 star resort that I wasn't entirely sure where to start! So I started with our suite and all the elements of it in a grid type arrangement. I kept it simple as I wanted the photos to be the star of the show : ). I used my rub ons for the title and that was perfect as I felt it was our our own private paradise as we had the private pool, Butler and luxurious suite as well as a lovely view which I have showcased here for us to remember forever. I used my "Lifes a beach" Cricut catrridge to create the seagulls (Gregs idea, thanks sweetie!) and the tropical flower. I used a pre-cut border to line the bottom. I used a tropical flower background page to go with the Carribbean feel! Love this page!

Cute birthday cake
Ok well I"m enjoying a nice Friday afternoon, it's a bit wet outside so what better than to put my creative mind to use! I also have my lovely husband working at home so his opinion is very important and I love to show him my work! So, here we go using the "Sweet Treats" cartridge again (I think I'm addicted to this, all these lovely cakes and no calories lol). I used a coral coloured card with some co-ordinating stripy paper. I cut out the cake plate and cake using the cartridge, laying all the pieces. I also cut out the flowers and used just a plain hole punch for the centres. I had the perfect piece of ribbon in my stash so that went around the middle and finished off with a round stamped greeting that I stamped in chocolate brown. Very cute card!
8 years old!
Last night I found all kinds of good inspiration and tutorials on YouTube for my Cricut, there is SO much I can do with these wonderful cartridges. So I needed to make a card for my friend's son who is going to be 8 in May. I thought what better than a colourful card with an 8 candle on it from my "Sweet Treats" cartridge. I cut everything out with the Cricut even the card..very happy with how it turned out!

Mr & Mrs..Forever
Last page for today..this is a combination of photos we had taken after the ceremony and before the cake cutting..lots of beautiful photos, it was hard to choose them for the page but I love what I chose. I've been waiting for a reason to use the cute lovebird paper and this was ideal and I used my Cricut to put out the "Mr and Mrs" and a forever rub-on with some brads and flower to complete.
Always & Forever
Now that I've completed my Valentines Day pages I thought I would try to finish my St Lucia ones. I'm up to the lighting of the Unity Candle so I decided to do these photos. I found the perfect paper to compliment it and kept the layout simple. I used a pretty metal butterfly to accent the page and some paper flowers. I love this page, such lovely memories and even Chockie bear makes an appearance in here!

Bunny Cupcakes
I made this card for my friend Melanie as she loves my cards and appreicates them when I send them so I made her a bunny cupcake card and it's turned out lovely - so cute! I cut out the cupcake stand and cupcake wrappers from my "Sweet Treats" Cartridge for my Cricut and used some cute bunny heads stickers for the tops of the cupcakes. I then stamped the greeting in the left hand corner and finished off with some easter ribbon for the bow around the cupcake stand.

Sweet Smooches
I've finally finished the last of my Valentines Day pages, I'm really happy as it's lovely to see them all in the album and we can enjoy looking at them and thinking of the lovely memories : ). I love this page because it's one of my favourite photos. I used 3 different types of papers, I went through my large selection of papers and I found the middle sheet of paper with all of the nice words on it and I co-ordinated the other papers to match. I matted the photo onto white then black card. I cut out the words using my "All Mixed Up" Cricut cartridge and used a border down the side. I used some chipboard flowers from my stash, a chipboard heart and label which I then printed "Valentines Day 2011" and stuck it inside. I had a cute "Pucker Up" panel which I cut out as it was perfect for this picture.
