I put this tea box on that I made for my dad a little while back but I was hoping to find something to put on the top. The tutorial I saw on it had flowers on it and I didn't think that was suitable for a male present so Greg and I were thinking and then Greg came up with a great idea as Dad enjoys gardening. He said what about fruits or vegetables, then I remembered I saw that you can make 3D fruit from a template so I found one on the internet and I think this strawberry is very cute so it went perfect on top of the tea box full of English teatime tea! I also made a card today for Dad's retirement, I had the perfect stamps for it, I love the cute sentiment of "Say Goodbye to the Daily Grind" which is perfect. So I used that and cut out a coffee cup from Love you a Latte. I decorated with some ribbon and a gem for the coffee cup. It's all I was really able to do today as my shoulder and foot has been playing up a bit but glad I could get this done.

20...
Hello after being away for what seems like ages, I just lost my desire to scrapbook and papercraft a bit, mainly just due to my injuries and just not feeling like doing much but today I was eager to not waste time watching rubbish American TV and feeling sad so I was looking through a box of older photos (before the days of digital) and found these 2 which inspired me to scrap them and travel back in time. I scanned them but used the originals on this page. This is of when I turned 20 (I will be 35 on Thursday, wow where does time go!). This was my first birthday with Greg, so a real special one that I wanted to always look at and think of. I used Happy Birthday background paper and also some blue swirly paper. I added some borders from my stash as well as some elements from a kit I bought ages and ages ago. I read on a scrapbooking website that if you go through your stash it can inspire you too. Also from the kit I used the bookplate, some of the paper flowers, the Happy Birthday die cut and the "How old?" die cut. I made some little flags from scraps of paper and added buttons to the paper flowers. I had some "Make a Wish" ribbon which I cut a panel from and used my Sweet Treats catridge to cut out the 20 and also the candle. I wrapped bakers twine around the candle and die cut a felt heart on my Cuttlebug. I did some journalling for the bookplate on Publisher. Not sure I will do another one today, we'll see but I'm glad I was able to do this today : )

Bunny Love
I made this page this morning of Easter this year. I loved the photos so much I wanted to scrap them as soon as I could. Greg made this wonderful cake (I have such a clever and thoughtful hubby!) and I loved scrapping the photos. I used glittery green cardstock for the base and added some egg paper, I got this for 25 cents at Michaels last Saturday, it's a Making Memories one and very cute. I layered some blue under that as well as cutting out a blue scalloped circle at 4.25" and then I had scrap of Easter paper which I cut at 4" from Winter Woodland. I wanted to keep some of our things from Easter. I had made Greg a little Easter basket from my Tags Bags Boxes and More 2 Cartridge complete with a bunny tag, so I cut the basket up and used one side of it for a basket on my page as well as the bunny tag. I cut out some eggs out of a scrap of paper and used the ribbon that was used on our bunny cake for the bow on the basket. I added a yellow flower border. I used Cuttin Up to cut out the font and some journalling in publisher.

Tea Box
I saw this idea on Pinterest and was interested to make one myself as they are so cute. I thought I would make it for Dad for Fathers Day. It's a little tea bag dispenser. I was able to download the measurements and last night Greg and I had a go at scoring all lines as it was the first one I wanted his help. It wasn't actually that hard to do. I used some dark brown cardstock and then after scoring and cutting added the layers of coloured paper on the sides. I stuck with masculine looking patterns as it's for a male. Unfortunately the sun was shining on the second photo so it's hard to see. I added some borders and used my Love you a Latte for the tea pot (love this cartridge) and the tea sentiment. For the knob I used some liquid dimensional that I got on clearance at Michaels for only $1.99, it went perfect for the knob! For the back I stamped tea cups in various inks and cut them out and decorated with little hearts. Then I filled up the dispenser with tea bags and added the top and bottom which are chipboard pieces. I used my Nestabilities squares to add a layer of patterned paper. So cute, I hope my Dad likes it for Fathers Day.

Boxes from Tags, Bags Boxes and More 2
Here are another couple of projects I have finished recently, I've been doing them in bits when I felt like I could be inspired to do it! They are boxes from Tags Bags Boxes and More 2. The first one is a little sweets box, perfect for Tic Tacs or just filled with some lollies. I cut a border with pinking shears out of green and layered it on some white and then cut a lolly from Something to Celebrate and stamped Yum. The second one I'm pretty pleased with, it's a larger box and inside it fits 5 of the cappuccino sachet mixes. I got a lovely stamp set recenlty, coffee themed, I love coffee and tea themed items (and the drinks themselves!) so I really was happy with it when it arrived. So I layered on some papers and borders and then stamped the coffee beans along the bottom. I cut a scalloped circle and put it through my Cuttlebug to emobss it. I stamped the cute little cups in different colours and cut them out and stamped the sentiment on a scrap of card and cut it into a little banner tab and finished with a white bow. It makes a nice gift, I'm enjoying making the boxes. I've made another item almost, so I'll upload that when I"m finished : )
Button flowers
I made this card yesterday. I've had the blue flowerpot sitting on my desk for ages as I cut it out ages ago and it was too big for an earlier project, so I thought I would make it into a card. I've been struggling lately with inspiration and lost my Mojo a bit, mainly due to the fact I'm injured and fed up with my foot and I used to enjoy doing a bit of papercrafting after I had done all my things for the day like my workouts with Greg at the gym and walking the dogs, now I think I have a bit too much time to do it and I lack the inspiration. I'm sure it will improve though, especially when I get back on my feet! So I made this card, a blue card and layered some leafy patterned paper and silver paper. I added a striped border in the middle. I stamped the leaves on the silver in green and punched out flowers and layered them and then added buttons and a paper flower for one of them. I added the sparkly blue pot from Walk in my Garden and a bow. I didn't put a sentiment on the outside, thought I would keep it as a general one and add the sentiment later.

I'm a little teapot...
This afternoon I made this very cute teapot card. I love tea and teapots so I wanted to try to make a shaped card. I used my Love you a latte Cricut Cartridge in the Cricut Craft room to weld the two pieces together so it opens at the top. Then I cut it in red and put it through my dots Cuttlebug folder on the front.and cut out the layers in dark blue and white. I cut some daisies out of my Sweet Treats cartridge and finished with a yellow bow around the bottom. I went around the centre of the flowers with a white gel pen to do some faux stitching. I'm thinking about this for a birthday card but haven't done the greeting inside yet. Very cute!
