Times Square

Hello Happy Friday, I've had a nice Friday I went to the gym with Greg, walked my doggie friends, including  Miss Ivy whom we had a huge play with in the park and a big walk, it's so great to be able to do that with Greg, nice memories. I'm looking forward to the weekend now.
I made this page today it didn't take me that long which I like as I can get my scrapbooking done. I did this one on our visit to NYC to Times Square. I started with some patterned brown card stock and cut a strip of some mirror dot paper. I saw an article on using up your stash so I am trying to use a lot of my things, then I have room for more things! So I found out these glittery letter stickers which I thought was perfect for NYC as well as a taxi cab sticker and an I love NYC sticker. I added a couple of borders and a badge. I cut an apple on my Cricut machine to resemble "the big apple". I hope you have a nice weekend.

Anniversary card

Hello another card for you today that I made tonight. I made this for my Aunty Julie and Uncle Rick, they never forget our anniversary and we don't forget theirs as it's close to ours too. So I saw an idea for a similar card in my UK magazine I get. I started with a cream coloured card and added some spotted paper. I added a Congratulations sticker. I then used my Cricut to cut out the wine bottle and glass. The wine bottle was from Simply Charmed and the glass from Celebrate with flourish. I cut an extra glass in burgundy and cut off the bottom so it looked like wine. I made the bottle into a shaker so I placed acetate over the window and put some sparkly bits in there and then put it all together. I think it turned out quite nice and I'm sure they will like it.

Greg's Anniversary Card

Hello I've got a card to show you I made for Greg recently, I made it for our anniversary coming up in October which will be our 13th, unlucky for some but very lucky for us : )!
Greg and I have a game we play and we try to outdo each other with who loves each other more we have some cushions and a photo frame in our apartment with this saying on. I have bought Greg a custom mouse mat and teaspoon for his tea with it on and Greg has bought me a bracelet, necklace and mug, so far Greg is winning but this card will add to things I have given Greg : )
I made a square black card on my Cricut (Art Philosophy) and then cut a square in teal from the same cartridge. For the background paper I made a little word search on the computer and in red put the words "Love you thirteen times more" then "Happy Anniversary Sweetie". I printed this on white card, I love how it turned out, what do you think? I added a strip of striped card and then cut the heart on my Cricut using Artiste. I covered the border part of the heart in glitter. I cut the more from the Cricut Craft Room basics and then added a flair button to finish. I know Greg will love this card : )

Centre step card

Hello I made this card this afternoon as yesterday I got my copy of the UK magazine I subscribe to called Papercraft Inspirations and the free gift this time was a lovely pack of papers and flower toppers to put on, some of them are decoupage as well. Dad made us a card the other day with decoupage so I'm inspired to have another go at some point. I saw in the magazine they had made a step card and I have never made one before, Greg helped me figure it out and it turned out really pretty especially with the flower theme. It's been a while since I've done a card that hasn't used my Cricut so it was fun to do that again for a change. I just layered the papers and the flower topper as well as the sentiment sign. I added some pink pearls and a pink bow. I might end up using up some more of the kit to make up some more cards for my stash.

Yankee Stadium

Hello Happy Friday, glad the weekend is here we've got a nice one to look forward to with going to the theatre on Sunday.
I am still continuing with our New York trip this one is of when we went to Yankee Stadium to see a baseball game with the Red Sox. I remember buying the paper especially it went well with the page theme obviously. I matted the photos onto some dark blue and put the tickets behind one of them. I used my Life's a Party cartridge to make the baseball and the Cricut Craft room as well as the Cricut Craft Room font for the title. I did my journaling on Publisher and then added some stickers Greg got me ages ago when he was in Boston, I especially love the shirt it's actually fabric and quite cute. Hope you like my page, have a nice weekend : )

New York at night

Good evening hope you've had a nice day, it's been a lovely day here summer is really here now and it's great to have lots of sun and  being outside enjoying it with Greg.
I lost my scrapbook mojo a bit lately I haven't felt like really doing any as I thought that I had done all of my latest holiday photos and I chatted to Greg and he said "have I done all the photos of our trips since being in he U.S" and I thought I haven't done New York, both when we went with mum and dad and then again with Darren so I'll combine the two. So I did this page of one of my favourite photos of us with the Manhattan skyline at night. I used some sparkly black cardstock and then some dot paper for under the photo. For the city scape on the bottom I found this on my Cricut Sampler cartridge so I did a shadow in yellow and then the grey buildings, I filled in the windows with black marker. I used my Don Juan cartridge to cut out my fone and the "you and me" sentiment. I used Elegant Edges for the heart rectangle underneath the You and Me. I used various stickers and buttons as well. I added a simple strip of journaling. I feel a bit more inspired now to do some more New York so we'll see what else I can make : )

Birthday card

Hi here is a card I made for my friend Christina for her birthday coming up in August. I started with a Grey card and black layer from my Art Philosophy cartridge. I bought a stencil from Michaels a few weeks ago and have been wanting to try it out with a glimmer spray that goes with it. All you do is place the stencil over the cardstock and spray over it with the color, let it dry and you have a nice chevron background. I think next time I'll go outside though on the balcony and spray the color from more of a distance but I'll have to pick a wind free day as we do live in the windy city and on the 12th floor!
I cut a scalloped flower shape from pink dot paper on my Cricut. My lovely friend Conny sent me some Forever Friends stamped images, I love this bear so I was thrilled with these when she sent them. I cut out a circle on my Cricut and coloured in the bear with chalks and markers. I've stamped a birthday greeting inside the card. I think Christina will like this card. Have a great weekend.

Baby Hat and Card

Hi Everyone Happy Friday it's been a while since I posted, been a bit busy but I had some time this afternoon to put a couple of posts on here of things I have made over the last couple of weeks. I made a baby hat and card for my friend Elaine who's having a baby boy in September.
I knitted the hat a couple of weeks ago and made the pom pom today it turned out qutie cute. I also made the card using my Cricut. I put a onesie shape in the Cricut Craft Room and welded 2 of them together to make a card. I added a cute rubber duckie shape and a spotted layer. I hope Elaine likes her card and gift, thanks for looking.
