I made this tonight for my friend Amy whose birthday is coming up, she loves handbags and makes them as well and she has been going through a tough time lately and I know this will cheer her up especially on her birthday. I cut a round card using my Wild Cards cartridge and backed it with some green. I then used my Cricut Essentials cartridge to cut out the flower doily shape. I then used my Paisley cartridge to cut out the cute little handbag, I made it nice and glittery with a flower for the clasp using the button feature on the cartridge and a regular button with some twine. I stamped with my Close to my Heart stamps with Happy Birthday.

Twine Wreath
I got my new issue of Papercrafts Magazine the other day, I was going to save it and take it with me to Mexico to look at by the pool but I kept seeing some of the Christmas designs on the cover and decided to look at it now, plus I am continuing to make my Christmas cards so I found an idea I liked and made it my own. They had a few ideas with twine and one was this cute wreath. I die cut a ring from my George and Basic Shapes Cricut cartridge and then wound green and white twine around it (quite therapeutic!). I then tied a Christmas bell onto it and put a tartan bow on it. I used my Cricut Wild Cards cartridge to cut out the scalloped circle card and then went back to the George and Basic Shapes cartridge to cut out a striped circle. I used my Close to my Heart Sentiments stamp set to stamp the Merry Christmas and attached the wreath to the card using craft glue.

Christmas mittens
I wanted a cute little extra gift idea for my special people and I saw this cute little mitten die from Nestabilities that would go through my Cuttlebug machine. I got it and cut some mittens out of felt. I then blanket stitched them. My lovely husband watched the YouTube video with me and helped me master it, now I have it down pat!! I really enjoyed doing the blanket stitching around them, so relaxing. I then decorated them with some felt adhesive embellishments, trim and I stitched on a little jingle bell and put in the little gifts. I'm going to try and come up with a variety of little gifts that can go in. I saw some when we were out during the day, many possiblities. For this one there is a little natural lip balm and an emery board. I'm really happy with these, so cute, I'm looking forward to doing some more!

Glasgow Cathedral
I finished this yesterday as I wasn't quite as busy but today I am so thought I would put this photo on. It's of Glasgow Cathedral when we visited Scotland in April. I really didn't want to busy the page up with too many embellisments as I wanted it to be about the photos which are impressive. I used some different brown toned papers and then used my Cricut Design Studio to weld the font together on the Cathedral word from my "Jasmine" cartridge. I went through my stash and placed a paper border at the bottom as well as a twill saying and a fabric flower.

Christmas box
I made this box a few weeks ago but finished it tonight but putting in the goodies. This is for my friend (won't say who). I made the box using my "Sweet tooth boxes" cartridge out of double sides christmas card and I decorated it using some trim. I made the tag using "Very Merry Tags" and decorated with trim. I picked up this very cute Christmas ribbon at Michaels as well as the little jingle bell and the holly sprig. I think it looks so Christmassy and I'm looking forward to sending it to her but she's not allowed to open it till Christmas!

3 cute little Stockings hung up ready for Santa
Once I'd made one Christmas card today I got my Mojo back to make another one. I really love my little Peachy Keen stamps and I've been looking forward to using them on a Christmas card again so this time I did stockings. I used a white crd and matted it with a cocoa brown colour card to which I border punched with a scallop border punch. I then matted that onto some plaid card and tied a green chiffon bow around it (my mum sent me this ribbon, I do love the way it ties it's very pretty). I then used my Cricut "Simply Charmed" catridge to cut out the stockings. I used the shadow/blackout feature to stop it from cutting out the face as I wanted to stamp that. So I stamped it and coloured in the eyes with a white gel pen. I then decorated the stockings with a mini button on each tied with twine. To finish I used my Close to the heart sentiments set to stamp the Merry Christmas. I think this is my favourite so far, Greg loved it too, it's very cute and cheerful!
Winter Christmas trees
This one I made today, I used a metallic blue card, then some pink sparkly card matted onto that with some snowflake patterned paper rounded at the corners. I then added another mat of pink sparkly card and used my joy stamp to stamp on that. I found that in a bargain bin at Michaels for $1 and it's such a lovely stamp! I cut out the trees using my Cricut Winter Woodland cartridge. I used the layer feature to cut out the snow for on top of the trees and I used my glitter gel pen to make them a bit sparkly. I wound some pink and white twine around it and finished it with a snowflake button.

Birthday card using 3D flowers
I made this card today using the 3D flowers I made last week with my Cricut Flower Shoppe cartridge, I really love how it turned out. I've made this for Greg's mum for her birthday so hopefully she won't see this! I used a cream card and some nice purple paper with a light pattern on it. I cut out the leaves and flowers using the cartridge, it was so much fun to see the flowers to come life when you roll them up. I used a border I had in my stash and cut a butterfly from my Spellbinders dies through my Cuttlebug. I then added a lace overlay to the top of the butterfly as Greg's mum likes lace and flowers so this will be ideal for her birthday. I used some stamps to stamp the greeting along the bottom.

3D flowers using my Flower Shoppe Cartridge
Today I thought I would try out my new Cricut Flower Shoppe Cartridge, I've had this for about a month but haven't had chance to try it yet. I watched some YouTube videos on it first to see how to do it as the instructions weren't that clear that came with it. I was a bit scared at first as I thought "Hmmm hope I can do this" as they looked a bit fiddly. But I thought "Well I will just try it and keep practising till I get it!" so I cut the first one that is on the catridge at 2 inches and it forms the shape of a rose. It cuts in a strip in a swirl pattern and you just keep rolling until you get to the end and secure it with a bit of craft glue. If you want to do smaller ones you can use a quilling tool to roll it. I was so happy with how it turned out. I went in to Greg and showed him, he thought it was cool too so I just wanted to show you what it looked like.
