Hanging out at Dreams

I've had this one on my desk since mid last week, just doing bits when I can, it's been hot and sunny so we've been out and this last weekend was a long weekend which was really nice. I decided to try to finish the Mexico photos from last year as we had such a good time so I wanted to finish scrapbooking them. I have used blue cardstock and different patterned papers. I cut out the "hanging out" from my Simply Charmed cartridge and stamped my Peachy keen face stamps onto the letters. I used "Life is a beach" to cut out the lovely tropical flowers and Create a Critter to cut out the flower. I used the Cricut Craft room to cut out the circle with the dreams letters cut out (an idea from my lovely husband!) and used rub-ons for the at. I had some stickers I found whilst going through them and found the cute thongs which I threaded through some twine and also the flower on the dreams sign and the happy sign. I used "Love you a Latte" to cut out the cute coffee cup which looked just like the one I had at Dreams!

Perk Up Card

I made this quick card this afternoon for my friend Mel in the U.K. I've had regular cheery emails from her throughout my foot injury which has been lovely so I thought I would make her a nice card to say thanks! One of my all time favourite themes for cards and boxes is coffee and tea, probably because I LOVE coffee and tea : ). Second to that would be sweets and cupcake themed cards but I knew this would be a nice one for Mel as she enjoys her coffee like me! I embossed a brown card through my Cuttlebug and added a strip of really pretty floral paper. I stamped the cute coffee cup from a set from Market Street Stamps I got a few months ago in brown and then I added a punched flower on top with some white gel pen for the centre. Iadded another strip of brown and then printed the sentiment "Thanks for the Perk up" on my computer onto some brown dot paper. I used my Paisley cartridge to cut out the daisies in different sizes and layered them together with a yellow button on top.

Kisses from Prague

This one today was quite quick to do as a lot of the work is done with the beautiful paper. I got this page especially for a Prague picture and I thought this one was perfect. It really is a one picture page as it's a shame to cover up the paper with more. I used Art Philosophy for the font and then did my own faux stitching around it with white gel pen. I cut out the orange flowers and layered them (Art Philosophy) and the placed a chipboard button on top threaded with orange and white bakers twine. I had a little xoxo die cut tag from a sheet that was perfect for that to. The green and black heart (Art Philosophy) and the leaves were a 3d die cut from a kit that Greg's mum gave me a while ago for a present (I am still using bits out of it : ). I just handwrote the date under the phot as that's all it needed. Lovely page of a lovely time in Prague : )

Christmas Eve In Paris

This is a page I made today, I was able to start it and finish it later after going out to the gym and doing a bit of walking, not much but it's good to be able to. I start Physical Therapy on Saturday so I can get better faster! I wanted to scrap the photo of us on Christmas Eve in Paris and I found this paper and it was perfect so I matted that onto some blue/purple paper and it worked well with the colours in the photo. I do love my Art Philosophy Cartridge and I used the fancy font to cut out Christmas. I used rub on letters for the Eve. I had a border in my stash which was perfect (Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!). I used Art Philosophy to cut out the baubles and decorated one with a star and brad and the other with a bit of twine and a bow. I used Christmas Cheer to cut out the lights, I thought it went well as there are lights in the photo behind me. I used twine to make the string : ) and to finish a strip of journalling from the computer.

Christmas Memories in Dachau..

I started this page Friday but then we had a nice weekend and we went out for a bit so I finished this today. It's of when Greg and I were in Germany at Christmas and visited our friends Conny & Sebastian in Dachau. We had such a great time with them I was really looking forward to scrapbooking the photos : ). I really like how it turned out. I used black cardstock and then some lovely Christmas sweet patterned paper and some gold glittery paper which I cut at 10.5 inches on my Art Philosophy catridge in a scallop square. I used a pre done border I had in my stash down the side and used the Art Philosophy again to cut out the font. I had some very cute buttons in my button box, I love the little reindeer, gift and sleigh so that went up the top and a wreath sticker down the bottom. I did some journalling on my computer and cut a brown frame from Art Philosophy to go around it and some glittery holly buttons to finish.

Happy Birthday Greg

I made this page tonight whilst Greg was finishing off work it was ok though as I could be in my little craft area and still be with him. We found some new black ink so I was happy as I've been waiting to scrap these photos. They are of Greg's birthday on May 3. I used some grey/blue card and spotted patterned paper. This paper actually had baby boy printed across the bottom, I trimmed that off though as Greg is not a baby boy anymore lol. The best part is I did my part for being green and I got to keep the items I used for Greg's birthday. Greg actually suggested it by incorporating parts of the day into the page so we can keep them and look back on them later on. So I used the cupcake liner off one of the cupcakes (Happy Birthday) and glued that onto some brown card. The big cupcake is also the cupcake I used for his bag that I decorated for his gifts so I managed to detach that and put that on my page along with one of the cupcake flags used on top of one of the cupcakes! For the banner across the top I used my Art Philosophy cartridge and welded parts of the banner together in the Cricut Craft Room to make it a long banner. I went through my stash and found some American Crafts star stickers I had had for ages and some cute little epoxy circle stickers so I used these for the banner and on the star near the cupcake. I am really happy I could scrap these today. Thanks for looking : )

more cards

I'm on a bit of a roll with my cards, I think it's a good idea to make as many as I can now as when summer comes and I"m walking again I'll be outside with Greg and back to walking my dogs : ). All of these are again using the Art Philosophy cartridge, I love this one there is so much you can do with it and love Greg for giving it to me as a gift (xoxoxox). The stamps that came with the bundle work so well with it too. I especially love the stamp on the bottom card as you can tick which occasion your card is for.

a batch of cards

I made this batch over the last 2 days. I have been struggling a bit with cardmaking lately and inspiration but Greg suggested making a batch of simpler cards to keep on hand to try and spike my inspiration. Also need to go to Target on the weekend to get some more ink for our colour printer so can't scrapbook, so I made these and I really enjoyed making them. I didn't stress over what to put on them, it was quite easy. I used my Art Philosophy cartridge to cut out the cards (I like the shape) and most of the die cuts except for the cute ice cream which was cut from Something to Celebrate and stamped with a Peachy Keen face stamp. The stamps on all the cards but the cupcake sentiment are from Close to my heart too which came with the Art Philosophy cartridge. I half embossed one of the flower shapes on the cupcake cart with my Cuttlebug. I really enjoyed making these, might do some more later or tomorrow, thanks for looking.

Hello Dolly

I made this page last night, I was so looking forward to scrapbooking my birthday photos. I picked the best out of all of them and called the page "Hello Dolly" as it was perfect for the doll cake that my fabulous husband made me (I'm a lucky girl!). I used white card and then yellow dot paper, then a piece of stripy paper which looked "birthday like" to me, I cut down one edge with pinking shears. I used my Cricut Art Philosophy to cut out the tag and flowers, then Celebrations for the candles which look like the candles Greg cut out of fondant on my beautiful cake. I put them through my Cuttlebug to emboss them. I scattered some mini heart buttons and a big yellow spot button on my flower. For the banner up the top I used Art Philosophy again (loe this cartridge!)  and the same cartridge for the letters. I put some pink and white bakers twine through it and tied some bows. I used Publisher to do some journalling. I love it how turned out, perfect just like my birthday!

Treat bag

I just wanted to put this quick photo on of a little treat bag I made for my lovely husband Greg who is celebrating his birthday today. I made it using my Art Philosophy Cartridge. Greg bought me this for my birthday last week and I love it so I decided to make him a cute little bag and tag. I made him some of his favourite slice "Hedgehog" and put that in a cellophane bag. He's going to love it!

Fathers Day card

I made this card today for my Dad for Fathers Day. I bought the little die cut glasses a while ago and wanted an idea to use them so I made this little origami shirt which is very cute. I used a blue card and blue check paper for the background. I printed Happy Fathers Day on my computer. To make the shirt is quite easy, I took a 5 x 7.5 inch piece of paper and folded it into a shirt. You can find video's on YouTube on how to do this. I cut a little pocket and put some faux stitching on it with a white gel pen and some little brass embellishments for the buttons. I slotted the glasses in the pocket as Dad puts his glasses in his pocket so I thought it was ideal, hope you like it!
