Gifts for Greg
Hello Happy Wednesday, I had some time today so I'm finishing off my Christmas tags and gifts for Greg. We're off to the Christmas market tonight so that will be fun and we can enjoy a Gluhwein! I decided to make a little pillow box for Greg to hold a cake decorating gift I got him so I cut the Pillow Box at 5.25 inches on Art Philosophy in some striped cardstock. I cut the label from Art Philosophy too at 2.5". I used Doodlecharms to cut out the Reindeer at 1.5". I stamped a greeting and used some scraps of Santa ribbon I had. For the other item I made a chocolate bar wrapper, underneath is a Ghiradelli Peppermint chocolate bar so I wrapped it in green star paper and a scrap I had left of the striped cardstock. I used some borders I had in my box and then I used A Quilted Christmas to cut out the jolly Santa (this is my favourite Santa out of all my Cricut Cartridges). I used a Close to my heart stamp and cut out circles for that. Sorry about all my pens and stuff in the side there lol, I wanted to get the photo on before we go out. Thanks for looking : )
I'm a winner
Good afternoon just wanted to share some good news that I won a challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut's blog, I entered a Christmas card last week and won I was so happy and surprised, I've won a $25 Gift Certificate to use at Verve Stamps so I feel like Santa has come a bit early in the crafting department.
You can check out my win here
We are off to the Christmas market tonight looking forward to that : ) Have a nice day!

Tag for Greg
Hello Happy Snowy Monday it's just started snowing here and it's time to go out typical oh well it's nice to go out and see Ivy with Greg and we'll play in the park so I"m happy!
I made this tag for Greg last week (along with many others) but I'm going to enter this one in a challenge here over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog have a challenge to make anything but a card so I chose to exhibit my tag. I'm also entering it into a challenge here over at Bitten by the Bug where they want you to make a tag as well.
I cut the tag from Art Philosophy it's a fold over tag in Kraft cardstock. I cut this at about 4". I cut another smaller layer in red about 3.25" and embossed it with the Argyle Cuttlebug folder. I printed a sentiment "Just for Choo" (sorry it's a bit hard to see) on red and added that along with some green ribbon and blingy fancy tape. I cut the train about 1.5" from the Gingerbread Cartridge (so cute). I know Greg will love this tag, this one might even be kept and used on a later scrapbook page. Have a nice day, thanks for looking!

Cushions
Hello Happy Sunday I thought I would show you the first sewing project I've made here and the first project I used my Cricut Vinyl for. Mum sent me a magazine and they had some cushions in there for Christmas so I thought I would try it using my Cricut and Vinyl as I've been wanting to try this for ages. So yesterday we went to Joann's and I got some red material and some snowman material and some Polyfill to stuff them with. It was very easy to make the cushions, Greg was there for the first one in case I needed help but the second one I did on my own. I used my Winter Wonderland cartridge and cut out the Merry Christmas with the glittery vinyl and ironed it on my cushion before I put the stuffing in. I am thrilled with how it turned out. Next time I make a cushion I'm just going to watch some video's on how to make the covers with the removable inserts so I can make a few more and swap them around but for now I made two simple ones with Polyfill. Chockie bear likes them too and I love how they look on our couches.

Another Christmas card
Hello I have a card to show you that I made tonight, I was lucky enough to win some blog candy from a blog hop I did recently, I thought that I had just won the lantern die and the matching stamp set but when I got my parcel today I saw that Teresa (the lady I won it from) had included all sorts of other bits and pieces, it was a lovely surprise, I'm looking forward to using all of my goodies, so I decided to make her a Christmas card. I used a card that I had in my stash and did a layer with some green spotty paper. I cut a fancy shape from my Art Philosophy Cartridge and embossed it with my Cuttlebug Snowflakes embossing folder. I used my Winter Wonderland cartridge for the Merry Christmas sign which was cut in layers. I added some gems to finish. I hope Teresa likes my card, I will mail it tomorrow! : ) Have a nice weekend.

Christmas Card for a nice person.
Hello I've got a Christmas card today to show you that I made for a girl on a knitting forum I belong to, she was really kind and sent me 3 patterns to try as a Christmas gift. I'm not used to complete strangers being so kind. So I decided to make and send her a Christmas card to say thank you and Merry Christmas. She lives in Illinois too. I used a red card base and then I cut a strip of green to which I embossed this in my Cuttlebug Candy Cane folder. I cut a 3.25 inch fancy circle from my Cricut Artiste Cartridge in kraft and then a 2.75" one out of some chevron paper. For the stocking I used my Christmas Cheer cartridge and cut this out at 2.25 inches. Before I stuck everything down I wound some green and white bakers twine around the embossed strip. I had a sentiment in my stash and I just matted this onto a scrap of mirrored green card.
I've also decided to enter this card into the Mojo Monday challenge here
and

Christmas Dog Treats
Hello Happy Snowy Sunday here I am glad to be inside with Greg and I've got a bad cold so it's good to be inside and warm. It's a good day to do some baking too, I baked some treats for some of the regular dogs I walk as I love them and love to bake so what better. For Miss Ivy though she is extra special so she deserves a bit more, So she got more treats and in a special box, Greg even made her a special wreath which was two bits of the dough wound together and formed into a wreath shape it's also a bit like her rope that she loves so much! The recipes I used were all natural one was Peanut Butter Pumpkin and the other was Apple Carrot. The other dogs got some treat bags full of treats. I made some special tags on my Cricut, I used Art Philosophy for the tags and Create a Critter for the dogs and bones. I used a stamp for the greetings. I look forward to the doggies verdicts! Have a nice day.
