Thanks so much..

I made this today. I made some hot chocolate envelopes last week but I wanted to try something different so I was talking about it with Greg and he found this card on my Wild Card cartridge which I like a lot better. I put it on my design studio to make it wider and a bit taller. These are going to be for my dog walking clients. I always give them a gift at Easter and Christmas to thank them for their business. I cut this one out of red cardstock (it was a Bazzil cardstock called Ruby Slipper Red - perfect as my favourite poochie is called Ruby!). I covered the inside with a scrap of snowflake paper. For the front I used my new stamps set from Taylored Expressions called "Penguin Pals", they are so cute. I coloured in the image, used liquid applique on the hat and puffed it up with my heat gun and cut it out and put that on the front. I used a border strip across the front and stamped "Thanks snow much". I put in the hot chocolate sachet and Christmas tree lollypop. I then finished off with some red and green shiny ribbon to tie it together. I actually like this one better than the first pocket I made so this week I'll try and get the others made ready to give my dog's mum's and dads. Whilst at Michaels on Friday night I found some lovely Christmas mini tins so they will get filled with dog treats for the poochies and bundled up and given with the envelopes.

Another pocket...

I finished this one this afternoon, I decided to make this one for Greg's mom as I know she liked the other one and It looked like she was hinting so I thought I would make her one as an extra Christmas gift. I hope she doesn't see this, lets hope not! I cut the same pattern out of cardstock and glued on some pattered papers. I used some Christmassy ribbon around the front and also some pom-pom trim. I cut out a scalloped square from Winter Woodland and stamped the cute little fox (I think) from my stamp set and the sledge, coloured them in and cut them out. I also stamped the greeting and added some liquid applique to his tail for the pom pom and heat set that with my heat gun. Then I added the hot chocolate sachet, cappuccino sachet and xmas lollypop and a tag.

Winter treats pocket

It's cold outside today and I was thinking of hot chocolate whilst I was walking the dogs. I always give my clients a little gift at Easter and Christmas so I thought a hot chocolate pocket would be nice with a couple of extra treats as well. I will do something else for the actual dogs with some dog treats but this is for their mums and dads. So I cut a 5"x 12" piece of card stock and folded up the bottom, I trimmed it to fit where it was too long. I covered both sides in scraps of patterned paper and then decorated the front with a little border as well as getting out my "Winter Woodland" cartridge to cut out the scalloped circles, then the "Winter Frolics" cartridge to cut out the little cup and saucer. I used my new stamp set also called "Winter woodland" to stamp on the greeting on the cup and added a little candy cane button. I then glued both sides with tape and added a brad at the top to make sure it was secured. Then was the fun part of adding the treats - a hot chocolate sachet, a xmas tree lollypop and tea bag. I decided to do a winter theme for this one as it's winter at Christmas here so it can be a wintery xmas treat for them! : ). I'm really pleased with how it turned out that I might do a few more for good friends too : )

Merry Christmas my deer friend

I hope this picture came out ok but it's dark now and I really wanted to take a picture tonight as I loved how this turned out. I made this Christmas card using the set of "Winter Woodland" stamps that Greg bought me for an extra anniversary gift. I love this set so much, its so cheerful and cute. I made this for my friend Jolanda (so I will make sure she doesn't see this!). I made a white card using my "Wild card" cartridge and then used the frame function on that cartridge to make the stripey frame. I then put some white underneath that to be snow and a snowflake background. I used my liquid applique pen to make a little bit of snow on the edge, I heated that with my heat gun and it came out all puffy : ). I stamped my gorgeous reindeer and coloured him in, I forgot how much fun colouring in is! I used my glitter pen to add a bit of glitter to his hat. I used my "Fabulous Finds" cartridge to cut out the red tags and I stamped the sentiments from the same set on those. I threaded some bakers twine through those and taped them to the back of the card. I used my "Winter Frolics" cartridge to cut out the tree and I used gemstones to decorate the tree and the tags, along with a star on top of the tree. I am really happy with how this turned out, I know Jolanda will love it!

Birdie birthday

I made this card today for my friend Melanie's birthday in November, she is a bird lover and enjoys birdwatching so I thought she would enjoy this. I got a free set of stamps from Kaisercraft and I chose the "Hey little birdie" collection which is really cute. I love birds and nature myself so I enjoyed using these. I already had the card cut out in a round shape from my "Just because cards" cartridge so I used that and put a strip of patterned paper on the bottom. I used some nice pink braid along it and then stamped the tree in cocoa chalk ink, the bird in a dark blue and the flowers in blue, pink and yellow and I cut all of these out. I coloured in the wing on the bird with my markers. I used my "Winter Woodland" cartridge to cut out the scallop in the dot paper and stamped on that.

my new stamps..so cute!

Hello everyone, I'm back! I had a week on holiday in Mexico with Greg ♥ and then I was so busy last week with working with the dogs, housework, washing, gym etc so this week I think I'm going to get some time continuing working on my Christmas cards and Christmas projects so I can then scrap my Mexico pics!!

I have been really excited to try my new stamps my lovely husband gave me as an extra anniversary gift, they are the Winter Woodlands set from Taylored Expressions, they are so cute, I couldn't wait to try them. I also got some new markers too as I have never really done much stamping and colouring and after seeing a video about it I wanted to try it again. So I got a lime green card and layered it with some cocoa brown and I used a scrap of coloured snowflake paper down the left hand side.  I stamped one of the sentiments from the set down the side and used my Cricut Winter Woodland cartridge to cut out the scalloped circles in red and then green gingham. I then used the same cartridge to cut out the white circle. I then stamped the very cute little Christmas squirrel and coloured him in using my markes, I think I have the hang of blending now which is good. I used my glitter pen to give his hat some sparkle and used some glue and fine white glitter for his hat as well. I then stamped the holly on white and coloured it in and cut it out. I finished the card with some red ribbon. I am so happy with how it turned out and am excited to try more stamps in my set.

Peace on Earth

I think you can tell I love my new Cricut cartridge Scandanavian Christmas because I have made another card from it today! I had a card blank ready that I had cut from Just because cards. I then cut a strip of snowflake paper for the left hand side. I then cut out a scalloped circle from Winter Woodland (but you can get these off a lot of the cartridges). I then cut out the cute angel from Scandanavian Christmas. I didn't like the face that came with the angel as they eyes were shut so I got out my Peachy Keen stamps and stamped on a face which I love. I then decorated her dress with some glittery ricrac. I thought the wings needed a bit of glitz and I asked my lovely husband who said what about some glittery lines on them so I got out my glitter pen and voila glittery wings! I then stamped Peace on Earth from my Close to My Heart sentiments set and finished by adding some gel pen dots around the scalloped circle. Thanks for looking!

Scandanavian Reindeer

I love my new Cricut Scandanavian Christmas cartridge so I made another card tonight using it. This cartridge also has some cards on it so I made this aperture card which is really nice for a change out of brown cardstock. I put a scrap of glitter cardstock that I had behind that which fit perfectly. I cut out the cute little reindeer at 2.75 inches in layers and glued them all together. I used my Doodlecharms cartridge to cut out the tag and stamped it with my Close to My Heart Simple Saying stamps. I tied that on with some twine and also a red bow. I then decorated my reindeer & the card with some green rhinestones and a red rhinestone for his nose - very cute!

Christmas Jingle Bells

Greg and I collected the mail today after we came back from walking Ruby and I saw that my new Cricut Scandanavian Christmas cartridge was there yay!! So now that I finished work and gym for the day I decided to make a card with it and I really like it. I used a red card I cut from Just because Cards and also the layers of red and green. The red paper has a light snowflake on it.  I cut out the bells from Scandanavian Christmas at 3.5 inches. It's a really easy cartridge to use as you just cut the layers and layer them up. My favourite part of the bell is the silvery glittery paper I used on one of the bells. I found a stamp I bought years ago at a craft fair and it went perfectly with "Jingle all the way" so I stamped that and then added some blingy ric rac self adhesive tape and a glittery holly button to finish. Hope you like it : )

Santa Box

I made this one tonight, it's a variation on the Reindeer one I did yesterday, but just as cute. Using the Sweet Tooth Boxes Cricut cartridge I cut out the red cake box and then used my Doodlecharms cartridge to cut out the Santa face. I used some googly eyes and then used some of my liquid applique on the moustache which I heated with the heat gun to make it all puffy : ). I then used some black and white adhesive ribbon and I went through my stash and found a cute little buckle for Santas belt. I think I will tie some twine around it and put on a tag but I don't have any treats yet to fill it but I'll get these on the weekend ready for Santa to deliver at Christmas!

Love ticket book

I am really thrilled with this. I have had a lovely morning papercrafting but now it's time to go to work and see my precious poochies and then go to the gym and work out with my lovely husband. I decided to make Greg a fun extra little Anniversary gift for when we are in Mexico. I had some beautiful stamps which were like tickets or coupons. I have been eyeing these off for a while but then found them for an absolute bargain at Big Lots for only $2 so I was really happy with that. So I cut 11 tags (for each year we will have been married) out of my George and Basic Shapes cartridge. I used my perforating tool to score enough at one end of the tag so he can tear it off. I covered all the other halves of the tags in some various scraps of patterned paper. I then used the stamps to stamp the little tickets. Then I decorated each tag using various embellishments or Cricut cuts as well as stamping with another set of stamps I got for $2 which were love and valentine themed by Inkadinadoo. I am getting much more confident with my stamping and love it now! I then wrote little things on the tickets. So all that was left to do was put them in a bundle and tie them up with some ribbon.  Now all I have to do is make or buy (depending on how much time I have) a little gift box to put them in and give them to my lovely husband on our anniversary ♥

Wedding Wishes

I finished this one today, it's for a friends wedding coming up in November. I used a light blue card and some spotty paper  from EK Success called "I do". This was cut out on my Just Because cards cartridge. I tied some chiffon white ribbon around the card and used my Cricut Tie the Knot cartridge to cut out celebrate. I then used Sweethearts to cut out the bride in layers. I added some pink rhinestones to the bouquet and also I added some lace over the top of the dress to make it look like a pretty wedding dress.

Reindeer Treat Box

This morning I had some time so I decided to make this little treat box. I saw inspiration for this box on another blog and decided to have a go myself but try something different. I cut out the triange cake box from my Cricut Sweet Tooth boxes cartridge, I cut this out at 5.5 inches using some cocoa brown cardstock. I then used my Doodlecharms cartridge to cut out he cute reindeer head, I had to adjust the sizing to the box so that was cut out at 4.25 inches. It was cut twice in different shades of brown. I then used some googly eyes, a twine box and a glitter holly button. I used my white gel pen for some details on the face as well as using my chalks to colour in some cheeks. I then filled the box with some Godiva treats (we had 2 leftover so Greg and I had a small treat each! : ). After that some Merry Christmas ribbon was used to tie around the box. My lovely husband assisted me with this and a tag was tied on. I am so thrilled with this, it's so cute!

Happy Anniversary Birds

I realised today I needed to make a card for my Aunt and Uncle in England whose anniversary is very close to ours in October so I was able to make a card after I finished the housework and dog walking and before I go to the gym! So I had a blue card blank and matted it with spotted paper, then white then another spot paper. I stamped Happy Anniversary from my Close to my Heart stamps and used my Straight from the Nest Cricut cartridge to cut out the little tree and sweet little birds. I tied some white ribbon around the tree trunk and finished with a small pink heart sticker.
