one more embossed card today

Here is another one I did this afternoon before it's time to get dinner ready. I had a dark blue card already in my stash so I used my new stamp set and used the snowflakes with Versa mark ink then I used white embossing powder and heat set, I really like how this looks, Greg loves it too. I cut some striped blue paper with some fancy scissors and then stamped the Seasons Greetings in dark blue. I stamped a tree both on green and brown cardstock and layered and coloured in the stars with a red marker.

2 more Christmas cards

Hello here are 2 cards I made this afternoon. I used Art Philosophy to cut out the cards both at 4 inches. I then used patterned layers on both. For the Joyful Greetings one I used my new set of Hero Arts stamps I got at Michaels on Saturday, it's a lovely cute set. I stamped the greeting from that set as well as the cute little bird onto the green snowflake paper. I cut a branch from Art Philosophy  and then stamped the bird again both on some turquoise card, some patterned red (wing) and white (scarf). I then layered up the birdie and coloured in the scarf using a red marker. For the other one I cut 2 circles from Art Philosophy both scalloped in a patterned paper and a white circle. I stamped the snowman on the white circle and coloured him in. I used some blue chalk on the background to resemble a sky.I stamped the Greeting in versa mark ink and used white embossing powder heated up. These turned out really nice, hope you like them!

Teddy Santa for Hubby

I made this card today for my dear hubby Greg for Christmas. I am really happy with how it turned out. I used a red card cut on my Cricut and then 3 patterned layers . I cut a green scalloped rectangle from Art Philosophy and then the teddy bear was cut from the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge. I love this catridge because I love teddy bears! I cut out all of the layers for the bear then instead of using the face that comes on the bear in the catridge I used a PK face stamp instead and I love it. I used some liquid applique for the "fur" around the Santa suit and heated it with my heat gun to make it fluff up. I added rub on's for part of the title and I knew I had the "best gift ever" sticker in my stash so it went perfect. Instead of the little gift that came with the bear I used an epoxy sticker from my stash. I know Greg will love it as the bear looks a bit like Chockie bear bringing a gift for him : ) Thanks for looking.

my Christmas wreath

Hello Happy Thursday. I finished my wreath last night using the Elicia (ruffle) wool. I am so proud of it, it turned out well and Greg loved it too. The wool looks so pretty with the ribbon I got and the pick. It's a bit early to hang it yet although I wish I could!

Joy card

Here is one I made this morning again out of scraps. I had a scrap of this dotted embossed card so I cut it to mat a glittery blue card. I used Art Philosophy to cut out the letters and then tied some red and white twine around the brown card. I added a jingle bell and a reindeer button.

Let it Snow with a jingle bell

I made this card last night I had a scrap of glittery blue card so I cut a card out of it on Art Philosophy at 4.5 inches and then cut a plain square from Art Philosophy in dark blue. I used a set of Doodlebug stamps I got on clearance at Michaels recently. I stamped the snowflakes using Versamark and then sprinkled over glitzy embossing powder then used my heat gun to emboss. I cut a snowflake from Art Philosophy and stamped Let it Snow, tied some ribbon around and added a jingle bell.

Holiday Joy Candle

This is my second card I made this morning,I am also entering this one into the CardzTV "Anything Goes" challenge you can find it here:

This one again I cut the card and spotted layer from Art Philosophy as well as the circle. I put the circle through my Cuttlebug using a lovely Sizzix embossing folder that Greg got me last time he was away in Boston and now is the first chance I've had to try it. I have never made a candle card so I got out Joys of the Season and cut out the candle and stamped Holiday Joy on the base of the candle. I then added some yellow glitter to the flame on the candle to give it some sparkle : )

Another simple but cheerful card

This morning I managed to get 2 more cards done, these are the more simple ones I am doing for Christmas this year. For my darling Greg, my family and close friends well they are getting more elaborate ones but for everyone else I still want to make a card but I have learned over the past few years that I can still do a nice card but not put huge amounts of time and money into it when it's not all that appreciated but I still get to do my papercrafting but my time soon will be freed up for creating a surprise for my lovely Greg and doing some Christmas things for us! So this one was very simple using Art Philosophy to cut the card and decorative layer. I cut the bauble again using striped paper and then stamped Holiday Joy and added a silver gemstone.

2 Christmas cards

Hello Happy Tuesday, I made these two cards this morning I've not made anything for a few days I've been too busy and the bit of time I have I've been doing some knitting but here are two cards that I enjoyed making. I cut the cards out of the Artiste cartridge at 4.5 inches and used the Cricut Craft Room to cut the circles out of the cards. For each card I placed a patterned piece of card underneath the circle cut out. For the first card I stamped Let it Snow and used Joys of the Season to make the little scene. I cut the hills out of white then glittered them to make them look snowy. For the second card I stamped Holly Jolly and used Joys of the Season to cut out the holly and used red gemstones for the berries.

I love you anniversary box

Here is a cute little box I made for my darling husband for our wedding anniversary coming up. I love to make boxes so I couldn't resist making one for Greg. I used Artiste and cut it out of brown cardstock. I also used the same cartridge to make the rosette (I love making these too). I cut a circle and then used some Close to My Heart stamps to stamp the I love you. I cut a felt heart from a die with my Cuttlebug and then punched some large hearts for the sides. Inside I can't tell you what it is, but it's a very special gift for a very special man who will get to open this cute box on October 14!

Consider yourself Hugged cards

I made these cards this afternoon for 2 friends one in England one in Belgium that haven't been well and have been going through some rough times so I thought I would make them a card each. The first one turned out so cute using my Teddy Bear Parade cartridge I used a blue card and then a bright pink background which I put through my Cuttlebug dots folder. I then used a scrap of blue and white check paper and stamped the Consider yourself Hugged greeting. I added a little foam butterfly. The teddy I cut out with the cartridge but instead of just leaving the eyes black I used some white glossy accent with a touch of black to make my own goggly eyes and on her nose. For the skirt I cut up a tiny bit of tuille and gathered it together and then used a tiny bit of trim for a belt and voila a cute tutu skirt.

For the other card I usd a blue card again and layered some floral paper and then stamped the same greeting. I used Straight from the nest and Flower Shoppe to cut out the flower and leaves. I used a Peachy Keen face stamp and then used a white gel pen to do faux stitching and colour in the eyes.

Happy Birthday using Flower Shoppe

I made this card this afternoon for a birthday coming up. I love to make flowers so I enjoyed doing this one. I started with a light blue card and matted on some purple and also a scrap of pretty Heidi Grace floral paper I had left over from another project. I then layered on some more blue and stamped Happy Birthday. I added some lovely trim and then used my Flower Shoppe Cartridge to cut out the flowers. I cut the leaves and stem from Straight From the Nest and finished with a spot button and a lime green brad.

Special ornament

Hello I think lately my blog is becoming a more all round craft blog than just papercrafts but that's ok as I love lots of types of crafting and this one was too nice to not show. I made a decoration for my friend Conny's Christmas tree as I know she likes to display ornaments from travels. I bought a ceramic ornament from Michaels and then printed a really nice picture of the Chicago Theatre which I used Mod Podge to adhere and then a Martha Stewart clear glaze over the top. On the other side is a stencil painted greeting. Very simple to do yet a really nice keepsake.
