Hello I was going through my photos last week and I came across some Easter photos from 2006 so I thought I would scrap them with Easter coming up and all. They are really nice photos so they definitely should be scrapped. I started with a plain blue cardstock and then cut 2 scalloped squares one in Easter paper the other in purple, I cut the purple one in about half and just used the bottom half. My friend Kim in California has used photo corners on some of her layouts and I was inspired to try some too so I cut some cute flower ones on the Cricut. Everything else is cut on the Cricut too, except for the brad on the Easter egg. The little rabbit tag has a story attached to it. I said to Greg that we should see if we can go to the Ozcare nursing home in Port Douglas at Easter to see some of the residents and take them some little cellophane bags with Easter eggs in them so I made up some tags but then the Manager was very nice and emailed me back and said they can't accept food from anyone that isn't family or works at the home and I can understand that but he did say that I can register as a Volunteer if I want to go and spend time with them and help the Diversional Therapist with activities. I thought that once I've finished my studying and got my business started I might do that, I might even get to do a little fitness class with some of the residents and when we get Zoe we can take her along too as they allow pets to go there. Who wouldn't love a gorgeous Great Dane pup?
Since I wrote this post I saw that the local animal shelter in Port Douglas needs volunteers for walking the dogs and giving them a bit of happiness so Greg and I are going to do that when we can, they said you can take the dogs for anything from 20 mins to a few hours so we could take them for a nice walk. Every week we buy some food with our grocery shopping to go in the collection bin they have at the supermarket. They also need cat blankets knitted so I might start one soon.
Anyway so I found a good use for one of the tags anyway. This turned out really nice, thanks for looking.

Goodness me that was a long time ago and we must have been at your parents house. Lovely layout, Lesley.
